I read so many hateful messages here. I don't get it. I don't hate my job. I do dislike some aspects of it and I do admit that things have been going in the wrong direction lately, but that doesn't mean that I am not satisfied here. I fear layoffs... — read more

The irony of it all

Schwab lays off talented people with loads of experience and then when they need to fill that position, they have to hire two people to replace that one. I've seen this happen at least twice, and I'm sure it's happened many more times. There's no... — read more

stop pretending that your company is a family

Since the layoff, I had 2 groups reach out from the company: 1) a person that represents some job-placement group that continued to ask me the same questions despite emails that already answered the questions .. had to just block them, and 2) someone... — read more

Nothing Positive Lately

Between the WSJ article , what I’m reading on the threads here, and the sinking stock price, is there any hope left for Schwab? I was there over 5 years before being laid off and while there were some tough times, it wasn’t this consistently... — read more

Merit increase

Anyone have an idea of what the planned merit increase % is?

Take the Job or Wait for Bonus?

Onto my 3nd interview with a tech. company that is 100% remote and paying slightly higher but with less responsibilities. Should I take the job if I get the offer or wait for the bonus and then look for a job after?

Insane Job Market

I got laid off from the tech side and have been struggling to find another role. Even the ones I interviewed for are lower paid than what I was making at Schwab. Anyone else facing this?
