When’s it gonna happen?

Hearing all sorts of dates now: Week of 9/18? First week in October? November 1? I just can’t imagine the EC will keep folks past their usefulness to the acquisition, which will be mostly finished this weekend.

2024 Bonus with severance?

Assuming you get laid off…Does anyone know the 2023 date you would still need to be employed by in order to be entitled to our bonus that would normally be paid out in March 2024?

No leaks

I wonder if MDs really have the list ready considering nothing is leaked about the timing at all. Strange! May be they might push this entire ordeal to October

I feel like a fool

I trusted the leadership when they said there would be no RTO and I trusted them when they said we're safe from layoffs. Now I feel like a complete fool. I honestly thought I worked for one of the better companies that treated its employees right... — read more

Odds are I am not impacted but

I am not okay with what's going on and actively am looking for a job. Regardless if this impacts you directly, this cut will be massive and will impact your friends and colleagues. You may not love every single person you work with, but they are... — read more

What do you use Employee Branch for?

I see some posts about how to prepare for layoff and one of the things is to ensure access to the employee branch. What services do you use from EB? Thanks in advance

Job Market is Very Tight

With looming layoffs at Schwab, I know a number of us are trying to be as proactive as possible by looking outside for opportunities. It is tough out there and every day at work is excruciatingly hard on our mental health. I’m noticing some People... — read more

Schwab is all I know

Is it possible to ask to take a pay cut if I get picked for the lay off? I would take a 50% pay cut if it meant I could stay. I can’t find any other job postings in my area. I also see that there are still schwab job postings. Is this to pretend that... — read more

"Quit if you don’t like it here"

I swear, some people don't understand that you can criticize something and either be stuck there or actually like some aspects of your job but have issues with others. What do you gain from telling me to quit if I don't like it here? Why does my... — read more

The decisions are final on who is being let go???

I've heard from an SVP (MD A2) that they did sign NDAs so this is confirmed. The SVP also added that all decisions on who is being let go have been made. The "hard part of their job" is done. They have the new org charts. Now they have to wait for... — read more

To Keeping Solid Mental Health

For everyone that is worried about the uncertainty surrounding the layoff, watch until the end. I believe in the fortitude in all my fellow Schwabbies :) https://www.reddit.com/r/maybemaybemaybe/comments/162rn70/maybe_maybe_maybe/ Also, try this... — read more

Could be worse?

I’m just glad it hasn’t gotten as bad here as other places like USAA. I heard someone ki-led themself there yesterday. Sounds like a complete corporate meltdown is happening from what’s being posted.

Labor Day

Poetic this is. Honoring your workers on Labor Day by laying them off.

The Tale of Two Wolves

ONE EVENING, AN ELDERLY CHEROKEE BRAVE TOLD HIS GRANDSON ABOUT A BATTLE THAT GOES ON INSIDE PEOPLE. HE SAID "MY SON, THE BATTLE IS BETWEEN TWO 'WOLVES' INSIDE US ALL. ONE IS EVIL. IT IS ANGER, ENVY, JEALOUSY, SORROW, REGRET, GREED... — read more

Real Life Avengers

Boston Consulting Group is Thanos. They snap and half of the managers are gone lol.

“For Profit Company”

Incompetent management. It took management this long to train everyone in ID theft when the training only takes 30 minutes. There is a reason they aren’t making any profit when they force their employees to hand out CSGs and waive every trade. The... — read more

How do I use the additional 2 weeks off for my mental health? I was told that we get 2 extra weeks not including our sick time. Do I reach out to my manager?

Things to do at Schwab before Layoffs

I wish I was content with what I have
