Analyzing The Posters On This Site

This Site Is Amazing
I reviewed some of the older posts and noticed that individuals who were previously labeled as a "troll" or "hater" was making comments that closely align with the current situation if not spot on. For example, they mentioned that Chevron’s policy of... — read more
Not a Manager
I am not a manager, but I can only help but feel bad that some great managers will have to let go of good employees, some who they have bonded with and became friends with, along with their families, over the course of their careers. These reorgs are... — read more
Let's lay off those who deserve it
How many VPs at Chevron have no clue what they’re doing? How many directors hold that title when their skills barely match those of an entry-level employee? And how many managers rely solely on fear to lead, completely lacking any real people skills?... — read more
Anyone got revised salary letter yet..
Any clue how raise look like ?
Accountability Please?
Hey MW and MN, show some decency and take a paycut to save some jobs. The lose in any environment is what caused this mess and you were the one desperate to have it with your OCD around cost cutting. You are creating a terrible legacy for yourself... — read more
Modernizing DT offices
Chevron is modernizing the DT offices into full open floor, which nobody asked for and it’s a nightmare to work in due to everyone taking calls next to each other while they do massive layoffs. Makes you wonder where true priorities are, apparently... — read more
if we get laid off, what happens to our esip & investments?
Please be kind in your responses. I’ve only been here for a few years and this is my first job out of college. I’m still in my 20’s and this is new and scary to me. I’ve done a great job (in my opinion) of contributing to my esip and investments... — read more
EOI window
I am wondering how many EOI windows do we have. I know in feb/mar there is an accelerated EOI window. Then is it the only chance we have? Will the EOI be opened later in the year?

Curious where it’s going to fall
Any thoughts on what will happen with REG Ames?
Do you think Ames REG acquired people will be in this lay off too? Any thoughts on how the restructure will impact BU/IT and people located there?
Will new hires be spared?
Will new hires in their first year be exempt from the selection events? If not, safe to say we’ll be the first to be laid off as it will be hard to compete with more experienced folks.
Impact on O&M
Anyone have any insight into how much O&M will be impacted this time around? Specifically in the Permian. We’re still pretty busy but I feel like our teams are way too big to and we hired a ton of trainees the past year.
Wasted millions at Lakeside SR campus
Why the F$$K did we spend millions of dollars renovating Laksise to just move out of it? Who made that genius decision?
MW's Failure
In 2020 we had the Winning in Any Environment layoff event. Since we are now laying off again it is obvious we lost in every environment. That falls on our leader MW's shoulders. We have lost the stated Chevron Way because of MW. We have little... — read more
Preference for Houston vs San Ramon
Do you think Houston based employees will be preferred over San Ramon for a position if qualifications are the same? Do we think CVX will be willing to pay for SR people moves? This is so stressful, I just wish they would have announced the lower... — read more
Don't relocate for Chevron
Relocating for Chevron might be the biggest mistake you could make in your career - even if they’re offering you a promotion. Think about it, you’d be uprooting your family and likely burning through a big chunk of your savings, all for a job that... — read more
Please stop posting CVX benefits info
If the information is on an internal website, mention that. All you are doing by giving details here is telling other companies how low they can make offers to Chevron employees they want to hire. I want to negotiate with companies without them... — read more
Chevron Singapore

If so, where, how and when?
Layoff priority.
They should start with the work from home crowd. Those are the most expendable as evidenced by their lack of work ethic.

Is there a pay bump for relocation to Midland?
Does chevron usually offer a pay bump to move to Midland? What about during a layoff cycle when offered a job?
Severance package
After seeing what Trump did for federal workers, MW should up the package. Who would’ve guessed that the DOGE package would be better than CVX. I knew that I should’ve taken that job with BLM.
Who decides our fates?
This is my 1st re-org at Chevron. Who will be deciding my fate? Is it my boss? Or is it the PDRs?

Grass, Sometimes, IS Greener

Union Chevron Oronite

EOI & Relocation
Anyone else notice in the EOI terms that if you’re offered a job that requires relocation, and decline, no severance…? If I’m in San Ramon I’d hit the AEOI button now as hard as I can.
Scope
They keep saying they will notify those who will be in scope for layoffs. In this case, who wouldn't be in scope???
We need DOGE 2025
It would be interesting to see a “DOGE” style audit of DEI spending and hiring practices. I remember the first time I heard that years of experience does not matter from a manager prior to the 2020 selection process. A lot of brainwashing in my... — read more
