It’s an offshore BPO office. They do menial, repetitive tasks. They don’t do any kind of strategic work that requires critical thinking, they are effectively human robots that do work that probably should have been automated in the first place... — read more
Gals and guys who signed their life away
If you signed your life away spill the project you are on
Engine started
https://careers.chevron.com/india If your job is listed, you are no longer needed here. Here is what’s funny - you will train your replacements. I will but my salary better increase 30% this year for risk I am taking to stay with this sinking... — read more
Do we really expect full-on RTO?
If it happens, it will just be another attrition strategy. At this point we should all see ourselves as redundancies easily removed and, if needed, replaced abroad.

Chevron Recruiting in Israel
In this morning’s recap, they featured a recruitment video and LinkedIn page for operations ramping up in Israel. This seems very insensitive and appears like an admission of $$ created by the events in that region. Sickened to work for a company... — read more
Fewer PDC Postings
Is it just me, or does the job slate look somewhat light for 2H PDC?
EOI by BU.
When do people think that each BU will offer EOIs?
ENGINE Jobs posted on Chevron Careers website
Positions in the ENGINE have been posted on Chevron Careers website. The job descriptions are a total joke as it seems HR put no effort in writing them. Lots of formatting and spelling mistakes. Also no specific requirements and very generic job... — read more
Anyone remember the outsourced help desk disaster circa 2014?
Anyone else remember the absolute disaster that was the outsourced help desk initiative around 2014? I believe it was in India, too. That lasted, what, 4 weeks? They couldn't communicate with anyone about simple technical computer issues, refused to... — read more
It’s not motivating to work for a company that’s falling apart
If I’m going to be abused, work overtime most of the days, suffer toxicity and some insecure and incompetent manager, if the job is going to eat most of my time and energy, let it at least be in a company which is going somewhere. I’m instead ashamed... — read more
Fire MW!
MW is out of control with his destructive behavior. His extreme outsourcing push is the latest. He is to blame for all the problems he had. We allegedly were going to Win in Any Environment after his massive layoff. How's that working? I guess we... — read more
Responsible Shareholding
Maybe it's time shareholders hold management accountable for making money the right way. Laying off and outsourcing is not the ethical way to make money and shareholders if they want a decent country should stop that garbage. People like MW are out... — read more
Anyone else struggling?
I've updated my resume and LinkedIn, but I barely have any connections. No idea where to submit my resume either. I'm trying to cut my monthly expenses, so at least there's that. To be honest, I'm not sure where to start. Anyone else in the same boat... — read more
Job Posting Approval?
Why do we need PDR approval to apply for internal jobs in Workday? Why would there opinion matter?
As a stockholder, I want MW out ASAP
How much of cvx stock do employees own anyway? Could we do this?
Year End PMP Ratings in current situation
Do you believe some supervisors might manipulate performance ratings to shield their favorites from potential layoffs? What steps can you take to protect yourself in such situations, especially when HR and Ombuds feel ineffective?
MW is a joke
How do fix it? He is burning the ship down
Where’s the red line that would snap leadership out of slumber?
Is there even an idea of where’s the bottom we have to reach in order for a nicely compensated top to actually put some effort into coming up with a new strategy and at least try to turn the ship around?
Value plummeting and no leadership accountability
We have had slogans, not strategies since JW left. Major international BUs have disappeared without a whisper. Still no coherent strategy. Very sad.
Why we're sinking
Things are going downhill because unqualified folks get hired or promoted over those who actually know how to push us forward. As long as nepotism and the good ol' boys club run the show, we'll keep going downhill. Simple as that.
Reorg Timing
Can you confirm the timing for the reorg in your BU?
Too many layoffs and outsourcing
If you are tired of this mess contact your representative and tell them to do something to stop the constant outsourcing. There will be no American jobs left except upper management unless something is done. It only takes a couple minutes and we... — read more

WTI is in free fall
Last I checked it was below $66. It is in line with Citi's projection and we all know what that means once it goes under $60. A big storm is on the horizon.
Chevron Employee Groups
The company needs to take a serious look and review of the productivity impact of the various employee groups. While they're great for building relationships and knowledge they're encroaching upon actual business functions and goals.
Wrongful termination by Chevron and now with Hess

We have a Succession Problem
Succession planning is the most important part of MW’s job. Our bench is weak and not obviously improving. Who are going to be the next in command when the opco leaders retire? They’re long in the tooth and the options are not great.
Bow down to your PDR
