when are they going to announce the re-org?
Everybody is just waiting for it, speculating and it erodes productivity. Lets get it over with and announce it and finish it in 3 months tops so that people can move on and focus on either finding a new job or doing their chevron job.
Most bloated BU & Function
What BU and function is most bloated? Feel free to give your reasons!
Have we been hacked?
Did others receive this message, and does it mean that we have been hacked? I got it last night, and I have not received any further updates. Does it seem like too much of a coincidence that this text was sent in the same week as the ENGINE... — read more
Chevron is a career dead end
I quit chevron 2 years ago. I spent 17+ years believing the message. The PDC sponsors. Full of S***. Watched non qualified people get the roles I had for on my career development plan for years. I joined Chevron as an experienced hire qualified for... — read more
Severance Packages from Previous Downsizing Events
Can anyone recall the severance packages offered during the last two major downsizing events (Project Alpha and Transformation). I believe they differed—specifically, the Alpha event offered 2 weeks of salary for each year of service (I think). What... — read more
The same people who created our problems cannot fix them
It will take months if we mis-manage change the way we have for the couple of last org changes. In the mean time management take whatever small attention they have on the business away to mainly focus on protecting their fiefdoms and favourites... — read more

Abu - Australia
What’s the latest news in Australia. I’ve been on my off swing in Bali
I hope this doesn't get dragged out for too long
I'd rather know if I'm laid off today than have to think and worry about it for the next who knows how long. It's not as if a few days or weeks are going to mean much in "preparing" for being jobless. You either have enough savings or you don't... — read more
Did anyone consult current discipline SMEs before redesigning the technology plan?
Oops, sorry, bad question. Management already knows everything about this industry in consultation with Microsoft and other external technology thought leaders. Carry on with those current industry leading exploration and development programs.

ENGINE working or not?
All this talk about lofty goals, success and the ENGINE working. But what happens when the ENGINE doesn’t work? How will the inept leaders regain trust?
CVX employees from India in US & elsewhere

Age and high pay are a liability
If you are over 50 and have high pay (well earned, but that makes no difference) you're a walking target. Even outside the jobs being moved overseas, Chevron will be looking to replace highly paid workers with cheaper ones here in the country, often... — read more

Should MW get moved to India as well
When the HESS deal falls through and Exxon beats Chevron there as well, who is to blame then? There have been several "retirements" announced which seem like damage control. Might be time to ask the old guy to join the ENGINE movement and find a... — read more
For all I care they can move whole Chevron elsewhere

ENGINE: When all else fails, copy Exxon
