Postponed CTC “accelerating progress” call

Anyone have the inside info on this big town hall conversation thing that was supposed to happen Nov 9 but is now postponed? Speakers were EB, BK, NH, and MN. Don’t get those people all in a room just for a chat.

Leave of Absence

Has anyone taken (6+ months) personal or family related LofA during their time with the company? Will Chevron terminate an employment or it is possible to keep it?

Retired employee returning as contractor

Before I became an employee I worked as a contractor for Chevron. That time counted towards my years of service. If I return as a contractor will that time be counted towards my years of service?

Promotions and Salary

When you get your promotion in November. Do you also get another salary increase in March?

No major layoffs so far

You have to admit things are good, considering we've had no major layoffs so far this year. All I've heard about were isolated incidents. A couple of people here or a few people there, but nothing major. I'll take that as a win.

Layoffs

Layoffs will be coming as a result. The BUs have already been challenged to show long term growth and hearing from some managers the need to cut opex in the amount on 4000 employees. Can this be true? 4k seems a bit excessive from where I'm... — read more

Management Hatred of CTC

There is a lot of big talk about how much MW and management value CTC but the constant underataffing and cuts say otherwise. CTC is the constant punching bag for management and it doesn't help the morale of the BU. We are so lean now we can barely... — read more

HR needs better leadership

Why are most of the decent jobs in HR unplaced? Who in they're right mind would apply for them unless they just got promoted. Please treat us like the rest of the organization.

New ad campaigns

"We’re upping production at our U.S. operations to keep supply higher and trucks in route." Wow, what happened? The message finally trickle up to Sr. Management that we don't make money from Human Energy and Liquefied Bull$hit?

Blue Collar MW?

I am thinking MW is a Blue Collar man at heart and not a big wall street guy. Saw an article recently in jeans, a hard hat and equipment that makes me think differently about him.
