Hiring
Management is still hiring external/contractors despite layoffs and less promotions/bonuses to employees in multiple locations. is it part of simplification strategy.
This board used to be for layoff updates or new and occasional cerebral knowledge sharing about the company. What happened.
There’s lots of distracting insulting one liners spouting off non-related rhetoric of no use. Normally an employee would not adhere to such tactics so as to get to the core of the updates of whats going on. So, most likely, such an individual who... — read more
Executives Are Quitting to Spend Time With Family … Really
Why recent departures of executives memo’s were announced as they are leaving Citi to “spend time with their family’s”?

Massive Ego or Mentality?
I just want to ask, is talking down to people a thing with Citi's environment or a cultural thing? Or is it their ego? Been here for some time now. But the general tone and expectation from middle managers is that they genuinely believe they're... — read more
You are what you do.
So let’s ask ourselves… Does Citi management lie? Do they misrepresent the truth? Do they obfuscate? Is Citi cheap? Do they make sound decisions that make sense whether its popular or not? Is Citi fair? Maybe the answer is yes, maybe its no. ... — read more
Awesome….just freak’n awesome. I do have to thank you Citi, you helped me prioritize.
Ranked a 2/2. Raise: 1K Bonus: 1% Certainly NOT worth the effort put in to get that 2/2 and it certainly sets the pace for 2025. Work just hard enough to keep from getting fired while I look elsewhere. I foresee in my future my meeting attendance... — read more
The Citi sacrifice.
Working sick doesn’t prove dedication, it proves a broken culture. If your rest feels like weakness, your workplace is draining you. In the right culture, rest is strength. Wellness isn’t just allowed, its what keeps you at your best. You, as an... — read more
Transformation roles
Does anyone know what happens to all the people who are tagged under transformation, working on the consent order projects? When these are over are they going to layoff all these people?

I truly hope that we as a company do NOT use deepseek.
For any company, for deepseek….why trust it? Its like you have a pile of cash on your counter and you’re going away for a few days. You leave a well known compulsive gambler to house sit for you while you’re away. Who’s fault is it really when... — read more

World going too fast our leads going too slow why?
World is now talking about deep seek still our AI leaders don’t know the basics of AI but still they want to lead with zero knowledge, step back leads and give steering to the one who knows.
Why so many members of C-suite leaving?
Noticed that since the last month there has been so many senior leadership people leaving. Anyone has any tea besides the cost cutting reason?
How many of you feel like a lot of managers don't do a thing?
They seem to just relay messages from one level to the next and they think that's work. A lot of them just do their little townhalls never to be seen/heard of again and never seeking any type of tangible improvement or ideas in their departments. And... — read more
I love my team and my colleagues but can’t stand Citi.

Any news on if Jane is going to hang onto the DEI Org structure? The DOJ's Civil Rights lawyers and regulators have been tasked with coming up with a list of targets for each economic sector and Citi seemed to have really leaned into this.

Everyone say “hi” to the Citi employees assigned to check this site every few hours and report back to management what is being posted.
Hey there guys.
This is not doom and gloom folks, this is reality
I don't think some of you are getting the message. Citi does not want or care about your happiness. Contrary, they want you to leave. Employees are one of the largest expenses and cutting expenses lifts the stock. The ELT cares about themselves and... — read more

Citi cuts back on 401k and BofA steps up their game
Su-ks for us. Citi just made cuts to retirement as BofA decided to give a nice retention bonus to their employees. Citi really has the worst benefits in the banking industry.
We could just get rid of the ELT
That would provide about the same savings as getting rid of 20k people and not much would be lost in value, as witnessed by the current state of the bank.
