I'm feeling like I'm going to self-prophesize myself into being cut due to this. I'd laugh if it wasn't sad and terrifying.
Inspired.
I’ve been watching this site for a long time now. What I find informative are the posts that are heckled at as a half truth troll post and when you fast forward months maybe even longer and it unfolds as exactly as it was posted. Many of the... — read more

Is every manager a pr*ck at citi?
Just got off an interview there, what a bunch of rude worthless people lmfaoo no wonder this company hasnt made any market value in 14 years.
Re-Org, Re-Org, Re-Org
Yet another re-org is under way and you may get a new manager starting in the new year, around feb. There are plans for moving people around and also layoff after current sham end year process. Most will be 3s or 4s to negated bonuses. Ratings... — read more

Has anyone else been told that you’re subject to a new metric that records if you are working and at your desk for your whole shift?
Maybe Senator Warren is right and its time to break up Citi.
Maybe she has a point, Citi is too big to manage. Either Jane is doing the best she can but is out of her depth and can’t manage effectively OR she does know how to manage on an enterprise scale but Citi is just too huge. Thoughts?
The stupidest meeting
I attended a meeting where my multi skip level manager spoke. The question came up over salary increases or the lack thereof. They mentioned that its been brought up to the powers that be that we are not competitive in pay as a bank in comparison to... — read more
Year End Reviews
Why? Why? Why? Year end reviews are pointless.
Who knows every thing they are at lower levels, who knows nothing they are higher levels.
its the problem of Citi, lower lever can not give directions and higher level dont know how to give direction. its a loop.

From another post. All of the heavy hitters I know from tech, to project managers and managers have all said the same thing. They’ve had far more than enough, they are…..DONE! True, they need a paycheck but not necessarily a paycheck here. They are... — read more

Celebrate? Yes? No?
Revenues grew by 3% and expenses decrease by 2%, I’m glad to see that but that’s expected given the reduction in staff. Laying off your staff and selling off slices of the company will do that. The true test of leadership is “can you get the same... — read more
Is Internal mobility real?
Does Citi actually support internal mobility? I’ve never heard back from even lateral positions that need my exact skill set. I’m wondering if these positions are real or do they just post internally for rules sake.
Your loyalty should be to your dreams, not your company logo.
I recommend that ANYONE take Jane’s advice 100% and get off of the train to find a better job. When the job market heats up, and it will, polish up that resume and get to trolling the job boards. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. The stock market... — read more
Bonus / 401K Match Question
If I were to leave Citi the first week of January (i.e. I am still employed at year-end), will I still get my annual bonus and 401k match?
Venting
Another useless call. I wish we were treated like adults in this reorg process. This is not an audition for an Oscar movie so no need to act and give us the facts, share at least a "semblance" of a timetable for the end of the year, and that's it. We... — read more

Other companies experimenting with replacing HR with AI.
It seems that AI is being tested and vetted on a more simple level than just tech. It stands to reason, if AI can hammer out some seriously accurate code, surely it can be well suited to replace HR. Generating requested forms and paperwork... — read more
Citi monitoring this site, I hope so.
I really do hope that Citi is monitoring this site. I don’t believe it’d change anything but at least they’d realize that their employees are not stupid or blind. Being vocal and voicing your honest opinion comes down to money. If money (your... — read more

Any news on recent layoffs? It’s been quiet
Now is HR’s time to shine.

False Manager

Citi has an opportunity to bolster employee morale and it’d cost them nothing.

An addition to Jane’s “train” speech.
If you get on the wrong train, get off at the first stop. The longer you stay on, the more expensive the return trip is.
