Simple solution for Citi priblem

Remove SVP layer and merger with VP and remove non skilled and people who focus on politics rather work, I know 95% SVP people are politicians, they don’t even have basic knowledge for current market, we can not blame them completely as citi not... — read more

How Likely?

How likely do you think Citi will be dissolved in the next 1.5-2 years? Broken up into pieces and sold, resulting in Citi no longer existing as a bank/financial institution?

Citi is Fried

Unfortunately the longer you wait the harder it will be to find a job with Citi on your resume…

Nothing like Jane.

I’ve been at two other major companies before coming to Citi. I also network quite a bit outside of Citi. After being here for quite a while and listening, watching and observing, I can honestly say I have never ever seen or heard of a CEO who is as... — read more

Terminations In Order to Not Pay Severance.

Hearing that Citi is going to start terminating employees due to performance in order to not have to pay incentive. Are they going to "manufacture" 3-3 rated employees into 3-4, 4-4 etc.? Do you think departments are being given a directive/goal... — read more

No layoffs untill January?

Do we know this for sure? “No layoffs for a while. Layoffs will be in January based on performance so management doesn’t have to pay severance pay. Technology teams in ny/nj will be affected and moved to Texas or Florida. Only management and... — read more

The Next 20,000

Where will the next 20K to be laid off come from? What departments? Where? North America? Overseas?

TTS Operations aka Wolf of Wall Street

I can't with the newer big dogs they brought in from Goldman in TTS Operations over the past year, slowly turning the org into a 'new' old boys club. How did we manage before these ball busters came along, ba----g their chests and pointing out the... — read more

I heard that earlier this year, the Dublin branch announced 168 layoffs. It turns out there was one person was mistakenly included in the layoff list. Within a couple of days, senior management realized the error and had to rescind the layoff notice... — read more

March layoff non-working period

Is anyone on a 90 day non working period? I see most people were on 60 days but wondering if there are any with longer nw periods and the reasoning behind it. Thanks.

I’ve noticed a pattern.

So a non-US holiday roles around and you get people who take off. Ok, makes sense. “Banking holiday over here in EMEA, taking off, no choice, its happening.” Sure, why not. A US holiday roles around, banking or not, and you get… panic from... — read more

Vendor

I can see the management has more faith on vendor compared to Citi own staff day after day.

Jane belongs to the McKensey group.

I have no idea if she still does but here’s a video breakdown of how they operate and lay off employees: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=K7ISnXf6Geo

Citi, a 6. Faith in management a 4.

Out of all the companies I’ve worked for, Citi is not the worse. It’s not the best either. In a scale of 1-10, I’d give Citi a solid 6. On faith in management, I’d give them a 4, which is easy to understand. The emails from management vs. the... — read more

Deviating from the purpose

There are many posts dedicated to venting frustration. I can certainly understand as to why. I can confirm that at large portion of the posts, I’ve seen either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd hand. While working at Citi and navigating all that is…”Citi”….it is... — read more

Layoffs Q2 operations?
