I don't know where to apply

The main reason why I want to leave Citi is the lack of job security. I don't want to spend the next two years constantly stressing over the ever-present possibility of losing my job. But no matter which company I start researching (on this forum... — read more

Exit Package/Pay/Severance???

Anyone get any details on Exit Pay or Severance or anything like that. I received notification this past Monday was my last day due to org changes, and no other details..

15K to Go...

The bad news is, by the end of this week, some 5,000 people who worked for Citigroup in September will not anymore, including some 1,500 managers. The good news is, if you still work for Citi on Friday, you’ll get to for at least a little... — read more

Update On Future Layoffs

Today I was informed by an individual who is intimately close with someone two levels down from Jane, that they will continue to routinely layoff folks in very small amounts for the foreseeable future; this is part of Citi's so called "refinement and... — read more

Always the wrong ones being let go

So many valuable employees have been let go. It seems like each round of layoffs has shielded the less competent ones, for whatever reason. It's getting more frustrating to see the competent ones being pushed out while the ones who aren't... — read more

Direct report

I am a SVP with three direct reports. Will and can I remain as a manager? I love managing people and may quit if not given the chance to showcase my leadership skills

What’s the come?

Can someone provide insight on what’s coming next? Do we know there will be an additional 15,000 employees laid off? Is the worst of it over?

Can directs be same C level as manager?

In new org structure, can directs be same C level as his/her manager or they must be one or more level lower? For example, can a C15 manager have a C15 employee reporting to him/her?

Citi Always Declinces to Comment

In EVERY publication about Citi layoffs, it always says when asked, Citi declined to comment. If these publications had any brains, they would come here for the real scoop.

Can I job hunt externally?

Recently given notice of layoff at the beginning of the week, and so far I have received no communication at all from HR. A part of me feels like applying internally is just a waste, but I have been applying externally, as I'm sure that would be the... — read more

Anyone from Getzville?

Did they explain the exit package aka severance to you? My layoff was a three minute zoom meeting. No paperwork, expectations or payout expectations or anything else. Just said H.R. would contact me. No set timetable or anything

Any Visa Holders ?

Just curious if any visa holders got affected ? or only Citizens and PR holders ? If Visa holders, then we can rehire in some teams.

Manager accountability

"People don't leave jobs, they leave managers" couldn't be more true than right now. I see so many polarized posts on here and feel a lot correlate to whether someone has a supportive, encouraging leader or an unqualified, self-preserving who has... — read more

Bye bye Citi

I was fired yesterday, signed papers, will get severance money. I have planned to leave anyway, so it's like a bonus for me. I feel relief. No more stupid trainings, no more prolonged meetings and toxic managers. I feel bad for those who stay. The... — read more

Manager reassignment. Do more with less

I have been at Citi for many years and been though layoffs before. But this feels way different.. Was told we still have jobs on our team, minus one person who was let go. My manager was moved to a completely other group and we now fall under a... — read more

Risk/OP unchanged

I wonder when my team will get hit. I’m not aware of anyone impacted in the big umbrella under my director. It’s odd and having so many of us remote, I was positive we were going to be impacted this quarter. My theory is that they are going to keep... — read more

Demotion and Reduced pay

I'm a director, make $250k, was asked to take a massive pay cut (down to $125k); however, they're giving me an unlimited dinning pass at the cafeteria and a cot in the old janitor's closet (they were laid off, though not sure if I'd be required to... — read more
