Legal?

How is the restructuring impacting control functions like Legal? I left for another large bank a year ago and the team seemed thinly staffed and stretched to begin with. Is the plan still to hire in low cost places like Tampa?

Information Security Officer - Should I accept the job

I have an offer for BISO position in the US. Can anyone comment on if the IS area is being downsized? IS is usually pretty safe, but i read about pieces of Citi being sold off or eliminated and not sure I would be stepping into a short term gig and... — read more

Any layoff news in Canada?

Haven’t heard anything yet from our Canadian counterparts, however with people I checked they said they’ve been told to hold your head down and wait till March end. What a mess!

HR should seriously be considered to be let go.

A very useless group of smug people who put forth more effort to not help you than any other group in Citi. All I’ve ever gotten from them is busted links or links to FAQ’s which have nothing to do with my initial question.

DevOps teams inside Citi ?

Seems DevOps team are scrutinized and shuffled. Do Developers need to look after DevOps too ?

VOE farce, the shame of it all.

When the VOE hits, no one will dare say a thing about the way the layoff is handled out of fear….as usual. So when the results are in, the feedback will be “I guess we didn’t do so bad after all, the results are much better than we expected” . So... — read more

Is it too risky to work here?

I just got a new job offer as a VP in compliance but hearing of all the restructuring and layoffs scares me. On the other hand if you make it out the other side it may not be such a bad thing. What say you.

2024 will be a bull market. Make your move then.

Maybe not now at the onset but overall before its over with, this year has a good chance of being a bull market. Of course nothing is for certain but after each recession, there is a strong bull run. Are we in a recession, yes, no, maybe. Most... — read more

The hones truth for us all.

I have never bought anything with money. Everything I have was bought with pieces of time I sold from my life to a job that will never have paid enough when my time is up. No, those long days are not worth it.
