Jane Ask Me Anything

It's amazing how she answered the questions without providing an actual answer to what was asked. She essentially dodged all questions. Would have been better to not do it. Anyone else more confused after the AMA?

Comedians hosting a Town Hall ?

What are your thoughts seeing a bunch of "Seniors" trying to be funny and having a laugh during Whitakers Town Hall while they planning thousands job cuts the same time ?

Stuck in perpetual "transition" mode

That's what it feels like. How are we supposed to focus on work in these circumstances? It's just a never-ending restructuring with never-ending cuts. And I can guarantee you, even after they say it's over, it will be only a few months before they... — read more

Internal Mobility?

I see tech teams being moved from one country to mine but they are hiring the same people and paying for their visa and relocation. How does this make sense when we are supposed to be saving money? Also, if Citi is making you redundant purely to... — read more

Concerns about biased layoff selection

I recently discussed the impending layoffs within our team with a colleague based in New Jersey. We’re both hoping to avoid being selected for layoff. During our conversation, my colleague mentioned that our manager assured him that he is working to... — read more

Roles with no real purpose

Did you notice an increase in roles with no real purpose? How many PowerPoint warriors does Citi need? How important is it to go from a meeting to a meeting where they keep repeating the same things over and over again? How come they are not the ones... — read more

Toxic MD gone !!!

I will say I am glad to see one of the most toxic, degrading and demeaning MDs leaving. She would yell at her managers if she had low VOE scores, demean her managers in front of others and degrade them. If you worked there you know who I am talking... — read more

I’m tired of interviewing and getting ghosted

I've been trying to find a new job for months. I have no problems getting interviews, but more often than not, I get ghosted afterward. Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong? I don't expect to receive an offer after each interview/set of... — read more

The company is rooted with Politics

I recently joined Citi around 2 years ago. Over these 2 years, I noticed several cheap politics being played around. #1. Vendors: Vendors give holiday party and perks to Citi employees for hiring their employees. Citi managers eat and drink on... — read more

Thank you, BCG

Secret Job Openings

Seems like a large number of jobs (at DIR/MD) are very quietly opening up internally. . . and very quietly being filled. Recent example: new head of MCA. Anyone else heard/experienced the same thing?

Typically Citi

This forum really showcases the toxicity in Citi. We are supposed to be here to discuss insights into layoffs across the business. Instead we have s-xists, racists, bigots, judgemental a--holes, and know it alls. Barely anything productive being... — read more

Everybody I know is looking for a new job

Including me, of course. People are fed up. Many of us are not even going to wait to see what will happen in January, even if it means leaving severance behind. That's how badly we want out of this mess. I don't know if that was the aim or not, but... — read more

9 new MDs in HR?

Is there no one else wondering what the devil these people did to make MD? Cut Citi’s contribution to benefits the most? Made Workday as unusable as possible? That is 3% of the total.

So I’m hearing that Phase 3 layoffs (not sure at what level though) will be wrapped up before Xmas. Perhaps so as to avoid bonus payments…. Anyone else heard this ?
