MD/D Severance

I am assuming MDs are not tied to the regular severance packages. What about Directors?

Has anyone gotten assurance?

Did anyone get assurance at any level that even though there is revamp your role is fine? or are your managers giving ambiguous reply when you ask the question - what about my role? Curious..

This too shall pass…

The one thing that the big C has done for me over the years, is that it has made me numb to it all. Citi has made sure that I’ve been beaten down so much with the threat of an impending layoff that it no longer registers as a problem. Yes, I know... — read more

Anyone knows how the redundancy package works in London/UK

We will likely have the next 'big' round at the end of Jan 2024; apart from the notice period, will any redundancy pay be given? I checked the handbook, and nothing is mentioned there. Thank you, and best luck, everyone.

Will be Summer 2024 Before Narrative Changes

All these people getting RIFd are going to be on the balance sheet for 2-3 more months from WARN, then add on severance pay lump sums on the back end of the WARN periods. So in January, Feb, and March, Citi will be able to say "we still need to do... — read more

Will this ever be over?

Or do we now have to accept monthly or at best quarterly layoffs as a fact of life?

The Bigger they are, the Harder they fall

Citi is in a downward spiral and it is in all of our best interests to start looking for a new job. Even if you make it through Janes rolling RIFs, the stain of Citi will always remain.

This is not a kindness

I don't take the lack of layoffs in December as a kindness or some kind of a Christmas miracle. I highly doubt that's how it was meant. I just take it as another full month of having to stress and worry and see my blood pressure go up and up. If they... — read more

Changes for HR

Seems like HR is finally seeing some major changes. Can anyone in that area comment? Looks like Chief HR Lady is losing two direct reports, and many of her direct reports are losing people?

Does this sound right?

Right now they are merging departments together and getting rid of top level management then after this is done, whoever is left at the top, will look at the rest of the people in their group, and then decide who gets laid off. This would include vps... — read more

No one is doing anything. Work has come to a halt. + Thanksgiving week and Holidays approaching. For those who are not laid off, it should be an easy existence for the time being. Enjoy it while it lasts

CTI leadership is gone

Looks like all CTI directs are let go in favor of the existing ICG/PBWM directs in the Co-CIO org, except Chuan who moved into BA group. No favoritism there, lol. Not a very good look for the reorg from CTI perspective.

So this is going to be going on all day??

I read Jane's email. Why drag it out over the course of the day? It feels like a super long email that's pretty much saying no much at all. What's the point of 'Ask me anything'? A lot of questions get censored anyway so I will refrain from asking... — read more
