Layoff

Will there be layoffs this year?

Exodus

People are leaving this sinking ship without severance, so there is no reason for layoffs. They will move people around to go where needed. This will only continue as the people who are left will have to put up with being overworked everyday or... — read more

I care about my job

Hey complainers, isn't it better to get out of here when you get another offer than after you've been laid off? People like to say they’re above all this here and can’t wait to get laid off, but I don’t think there’s much truth in that. It's easy to... — read more

Hints of reorganization & layoffs

I'm starting to hear of the "normal" restructuring & possible layoffs around the June time frame, yes even when they can't find good workers! I can testify to nervous management and addional reporting requirements. Just wanted to share. Has anyone... — read more

Layoffs would be a godsend

At this point, it would only help those of us who're planning to leave but either haven't been able to land a new job yet or are still scared to take that step. Judging by the people around me, there is a lot of us. When the next layoff round is... — read more

Is Citi so desperate?

I really can’t believe whom Citi appoints to managerial positions. Is Citi so desperate that it cannot appoint someone with more experience and knowledge? It's a shame that people are in positions that far exceed their competencies.

Options, don’t forget you have some.

Post of job dissatisfaction, low wages, no bonuses, back to the office work and so forth. All that aside, you do have options. Tons of search engines even have a built in filter for full time remote work. There are lots of jobs out there that not... — read more

Back in the office fun

So...I am back in the office, never realized how smelly my coworkers are. It gets worse at lunchtime when I get a smell of canned tuna or some ethnic dish.

Past versus the present

I remember in the past hearing from several different managers and even having one myself saying all the time two things: ) If you don’t like it, leave ) There are tons of people out there willing to take your place. They’d squeeze that... — read more

Are managers just not engaged?

How long does it take to get an offer

With Citibank? I did well on the interviews, and had a chat with h/r regarding salary compensation, and start date about a week ago, and haven't heard anything back since. No response to follow ups. How long did it take before you were offered an... — read more

My friend left for a smaller pay

My former colleague left and accepted a job at a company where he is paid less. I know another person who made the same decision a little earlier. What's going on here? Will people start leaving Citi at all costs, just to not be a part of this mess... — read more

So woke you can’t function….

Stress is astronomical

The stress is huge. Employees are expected to do more than ever. Managers are not very interested in whether such demands are realistic or not. They are only interested in the end result. I am starting to wonder whether a job with so much stress is... — read more

I’m interviewing with Citi

So I’m interviewing with Citi but after seeing so many posts here on layoff it sounds like Citi is worse than Wellsfargo where I am now. I have a good boss currently and in a good team but I just don’t like the work I’m doing and hence started... — read more

There is no vision, there is no future

For me, I’m outta here. I’ve seen nothing but a path of chaos and destruction for the past 5 years. I’ve been rated a top performer for the past 4 years but I see nothing but dread before me. There is no vision, there is no future. All management... — read more

I can't wait to get back to the office

so that I only work for 8 hours, unlike now that I work for almost 10-11 hours. I think Citi will regret returning employees to the office after seeing how much productivity will fall.

Hopeful no more…
