Is it because of the pandemic? I have submitted applications, gone on several interviews and with several companies and it takes months to hear back from anyone if you're even going to the second round!
Sick Time
Has anyones manager told them that their unit does not take sick time and you should instead go to the Doctor on the weekend or after work? Also has anyone manager told them if you’re remote and feeling sick you should still work because you’re not... — read more

The beatings will commence until moral improves.
Corporate demand of blind loyalty no matter how bad you’re treated or overworked you are, is becoming a dying dinosaur. I’ve always thought it was weird that you are so bought into the corp buzz word rhetoric that “this is the best place ever to be... — read more
The Great Burnout
From NYT, links below: At Citi, according to New York magazine, an analyst typed “I hate this job, I hate this bank, I want to jump out the window” in a chat, prompting human resources to check on his mental health. “This is a consensus opinion,”... — read more
I Though It Was Me
To all the Citi folks who are on here, THANK YOU for sharing your stories and exposing the truth. Coming into Citi as a young person, I was emotionally hazed by my entire department and I thought it was because I was doing something wrong. I took the... — read more
How much overwork can one person handle?
I guess Citi is counting on employees being insecure, hesitant, and reluctant to start over. Whenever someone leaves, I get more and more work. I'm on the verge of giving notice. My question is how overwhelmed with work are you? How big is your... — read more
Citi can't expect loyalty from us
Loyalty is earned not demanded. Company loyalty went out the window long long ago. Since we are all treated as a commodity, an asset to be traded or discarded at will for any or no reason, then my loyalty is only as good as my last paycheck. Earn... — read more
Can we get back on topic for a moment, please?
Can anybody share any layoffs info, if there is any?
Going back to the office?
I for one, do not plan to return as long as COVID is still bad enough that we have to wear masks and test 3 times a week. Where do they come up with these dates anyway? I'd rather face disciplinary action than an intubation. And yes, I am vaxed... — read more
I did not expect such a reaction
I can no longer stand this place and the lack of respect I experience here daily so I gave notice. Just a few more days to endure here. Honestly, I didn't expect any reaction, I thought that Citi didn't care who left, but it wasn't like that. The... — read more

I deserve respect
I don't expect the company to care about me, I don't live in a delusion that we're all "one big, happy family." What I do expect is to be treated with respect. To be paid adequately for the work I provide and to be treated like a human being by my... — read more
Thank God Jane is taken care of. I was worried for a moment that she would not be paid a lot for overall lackluster performance.
So glad she gets a 32% increase. Whew….I can rest better now. Citigroup Chief Executive Jane Fraser will take home total compensation of $22.5 million for 2021 — a nearly 32% increase from the previous... — read more
Citi is a dump
Either you don't know what you don't know, but open your eyes people, Citi is a horrendous laggard of a company that should have been allowed to fail in 2008. Such a dysfunctional mess of a company. Stay clear of this incompetence haven.
Downtrodden and leaving
I’ve got a ton of friends spanning all sectors. From talking to them and comparing to Citi, I’ve never heard of such a company as Citi that is so willing to over zealously marginalize BAU efforts. What I find funny is that “if you don’t make money... — read more

Those who received medical and religious accommodations? What did you say?
No vision, no future
I may be wrong, but it seems to me that the leadership has no vision at all. The future will look very different from today, but not in a good way. Precisely because a clear plan for the future is lacking. Maybe it's better not to think about the... — read more
How long does it take to get hired at Citi?
Interviewed last week and the week before for two different positions. The status of my application just says business review. They're always hiring here, but how long does it take?
Multi-directional indecisiveness, recipe for success?
Expand globally, that’s the ticket and shrink the UK offices. Nope sell it off some of our global assets and revamp and expand the UK offices, that’s the way to go. It’s this back and forth decisions that instills skepticism about our judgement. — read more

That's my raise. I can take a hint. I'll be out of here within three months.
Let's Pretend We Didn't See It Coming?
Is this another case of "let's pretend we didn't see it coming"? I took a look at the P/E graphs and it certainly looks like we are headed into dangerous territory--along with reduced resources and climate chaos. But it's hard figuring out how to... — read more
How is it now?
Former employee here. Are any groups feeling the affects of the terminations due to vaccine mandates? I saw some pretty high-profile names that are now gone. Is Citi in a downward spiral yet?
A tipping point is reached it seems….
There comes a time when there’s a paradigm shift and instead of the employees proving themselves to the company, its the company that needs to start proving itself to the employees. This is where Citi is right now.
This is your average workplace
I don't know what you people expect but if you think Citi is a horrible, terrible, awful work environment then you're in for a major and not-so-pleasant surprise when you leave. Nearly all the banks have the same issues to a varying degree. If you're... — read more

I hope they find a solution
