Do we think kore cuts are coming?

I have been told by my manager that me and my team are safe but for some reason I have no confidence in Dell going foraward. A lot of good people lost jobs today and some great performers. Any more information? Do we think more cuts will happen as... — read more

any word on Dell Blue and Brand?

DB has been high turnover, low morale for at least 2 years, but the directors are good at proving value to execs. Curious if this will hasten more of an external-agency model for content. It wouldn't save a dime but the headcount reduction would look... — read more

Severance -- 18 months of Insurance?

In another thread I saw someone mention about insurance. Is it true that you get 18 months of Health Insurance if you get laid off? Or is it based on seniority? ( This is only USA based question. )

New Hire

Any termination protection Dell has for new hire?

Dell overhired

Now it's correcting its mistake. This was to be expected.

Don't panic!

Not every 1x1 is a layoff meeting. If you read through the posts here, many of them are just business as usual. Don't get all worked up in advance until you know what's really going on. Your mental health will be grateful to you if you don't jump to... — read more

55 and worried

The job market for my age group looks grim right now. I'm not sure what I'm going to do if I'm laid off. Is anybody else in a similar position? How are you dealing with this?

I wonder how long this will take

This is not a small number of people to lay off. If it's being done in one on one meetings, then it's going to take some time to get it all done. Meaning, a lot of us might have to wait for weeks to know if we're being laid off or not. I know many... — read more

Voluntary Redundancy

So, our group has just been told that none of us are affected by the layoffs. Tbh I was really hoping I would be one of the ones cut. Does anyone know if there will be an option of voluntary redundancy? It's not something I'd broach with my manager... — read more

Tomorrow the axe will be swinging.

What I know.

I found this site because I was looking for news stories or leaks on upcoming Dell decisions, some of which I already know of. Read quite a few of the posts and replies, laughable or just a weird sadness. I felt some sort of obligation to post what I... — read more

Some are even anticipating that the size of this round of layoffs could reach 9%. Any thoughts?
