I know few good people at ford who left to work for RIVIAN for a higher paycheck and a lead role. This is a risk everyone takes while working for a startup.

As a taxpayer, I will never buy a Ford.
I got no benefit when Ford strategically offshored chip production years ago so why do I have to fund the chip manufacturing return. Den of thieves describes Farley’s relationship with the government. Last November, Ford announced that it had... — read more
Resorting to layoffs if given even the slightest reason
This frustrates me terribly, that this has become a place where every slightest reason becomes an excuse for layoffs. Behind the smoke and mirrors is actually the greed of those at the top. Isn't it interesting that they always find reasons for... — read more
An Open Letter to Jim, PART 2
Get gone! You came from Toyota and we've all seen how Toyota vehicles run, we don't need none of that here. I haven't witnessed a single good change by you in your time here. You scared off Hua, Klevorn, and so many more. Can't you see you are the... — read more
Is this option dead in the water now?
There IS still time for a voluntary. The 2021 VSSP was offered in July 2021. The deadline to accept was September 2nd and the last day worked was October 31. If they do a voluntary in 2022: It can be offered in August, deadline to accept can be... — read more

Survival of the fittest and luckiest
Why do you envy the slackers or hard workers or bootlickers or friends in the family plan? Who ever plays the game the best wins, right? Do you accept that?
Those who left are lucky
I ran into a guy who used to work in IT but left about six months ago. He seems like a different person. He left for a lower-paying job but he still says he would make the same move again in a heartbeat. He said he's working for a smaller company... — read more
Pension needs to end for Ford to survive
Why do people still get pension when it was ended in 2004...almost 20 years ago. It is not fair that I do the same work as someone hired before 2004 and they get pension too. This needs to end, only 401k. Ford is going to go bankrupt if they do not... — read more

I feel this amount of stress to so many is causing lasting harm to health.
This is just taking too long.
My Prediction (for what it’s worth)
Ford Blue will be spun off ala Visteon, Delco, etc. This includes engine plants, transmission plants with no future EV products, ICE PD, and anything else attached to these ICE products. The pension obligation moves with the personnel and this... — read more

It's going to be more than 8000 cut, isn't it....
