The company obviously does not intend to improve quality, considering they decided to cut so many salaried employees. Or am I wrong?
July 25th week is a runout. Nothing happened!!
Happy weekend guys!!
Uh-oh! Is anyone able to see the SIRP policy today?
Checked on life@ford to confirm the severance details for involuntary separations. Today there's no sign of the policy. You know, SIRP - the one that says 9 months severance pay for 20+ years of service. Curious if anyone else is able to find it.
It has been a really busy week..Make sure you wrap things up by Noon and have a good weekend.
Enjoy the weekend... May your tank be full and your EV fully charged. Jim will not disappoint... One thing about the rumor mill at Ford... it is usually true..
What's with all the fighting and name-calling?
Young attacking the old for not retiring, old attacking the young for being entitled, those who want to leave attacking the rest for not looking for a way out and saying it's their own fault if they're laid off... Every single one of us is in this... — read more
Just put out a voluntary separation offer already.
Otherwise, people are going to stay a few more years.
You old people close to retirement just leave and save the spot for youngsters and let them make their careers.
Neither you upskill nor contribute to the bottom line.

“Too many people”?
Does that include the great leaders LL4 and above?
Don't trust them!
I am referring to the thread in which someone asked if it makes sense to ask the manager how safe our position is. My opinion is - don't do that! I speak from experience, I know a person who once went through agony because the manager assured her... — read more
I miss Red Poling
I was there in the best of times. Wow. What a difference. We made so much money and everyone had a job. Did not have enough seats Dearborn. Had to rent facilities all around! I’m so sorry younger folks could not see the company at its best. — read more
A very talented pool of engineers have been released by RIVIAN. Any intelligent company can hire them.
As you know you have to 4 hours of interview with all the tech departments involving your work.
Right….
I guess I’ll be as transparent about my next career steps as Ford is about the layoff timing.

Don't You Dare Sign Non-Disclosure
We are hearing there are 1:1 meetings to discuss "your future." But you need to sign non-disclosure that you won't discuss anything about the meeting. So, when I sign this non-disclosure and you say, "your job may go away. No package for you"... — read more
Start Retirement Now To Avoid The Rush?

Is there any use in asking a manager if we're safe?

Why is it a ship show with this company every single day?
My perspective, it started when Mark Fields was forced out. The current leadership at the top is fumbling badly.
Gotta keep UAW happy, right?
And the UAW wants a cost of living adjustment in their hourly workers contract. Ford just made a bunch of temp workers full timers. Got to keep the UAW thieves happy and cut salaried people
