New Thinking
Our leaders are stuck in the past. Need new thinking. For example: mandate five days a week back to the office. If you want to do four, you lose $10,000 a year in salary, you want do three? You lose another 10. Company could save money and get... — read more
Can you eventually return to Ford after being terminated?
Title asks it all!
World is different
The world is a different place post COVID. Meetings are almost exclusively on Teams. People have meetings with others via Teams who literally sit down the hall. It’s not going to change. The RTO will mean driving in to be on Teams meetings, get... — read more

It's now...4 major changes in as many years?
I have figured this company out
Ford Motor Company isn't really an automotive company. It is a human resources and human capital company that only sells unreliable vehicles to fund the leadership and HR taunting of the low level employees. How else do you explain the amount of... — read more
If you get Terminated, can you collect Unemployment?
I'm not talking about a layoff, but an actual Termination? A co-worker/friend of mine had a project dumped on him - no longer wants to do it. They claim he has to because it's a Smart Objective of his. He's going to get reported to HR as his... — read more

Oh well, looks like RTO might be the final straw

If by review time next spring you are found to be in violation of the 9/1 RTO, they will cut your bonus target by 50%
Got this in good authority from a disgruntled LL3. He's afraid he'll lose many of his best people over this RTO. In 2027, violaters will be rated lower and be denied bonus and raises. You've been warned

Remainder of the cuts coming in next weeks
The first quick wave was just the obvious low hanging fruit. There are way too many people remaining after the "project" was shelved. The last few weeks have been busy planning the cuts and oh baby are they ever coming. Best of luck to you all. — read more
it's not our fault !

RTO is just an attrition tactic
Nothing more, nothing less. As others have already pointed out, a full 5-day mandate will probably soon follow. Across the corporate world, RTO has become a relatively cheap and efficient way to reduce headcount without going through formal layoffs... — read more
