Ford isn’t “struggling with employees”

You get what you pay for. There is no way I’m staying past 5 or doing oncall for peanut pay here. The systems here su-k, people don’t do any code reviews and people just push to prod directly. You want engaged people? Pay a market competitive... — read more

GM Brightdrop >>> Ford Next

Is it possible that Peter Stern will do the same and reduce the cost of Ford Next by merging it back into the company and eliminating excess executive overhead? It would certainly be the right thing to do for shareholders. “DETROIT, Nov 16... — read more

Is there a PIP process here?

New to the company relatively but I’m pretty sure there are people who hate me and want me to get fired. What sort of processes do they go through here to do that? I don’t want to work here long term anyway ( 6 months more or so at most) but I want... — read more

You won't have it much better elsewhere

I know Ford su-ks and working here su-ks, but you won't have it much better elsewhere. I came to Ford from GM thinking I was doing myself a favor. I ended up with the exact same problems and the exact same toxic work environment as in my old job... — read more

This is a mediocre company at best

Joined starry eyed and now realizing the mistake I made. Career death / stagnation by 1000 cuts. Was sold a fake dream and in reality this is just a company full of paper pushers and quiet quitters. No one really wants to grow and is just playing... — read more

I don’t respect my LL6; can I move out?

Frankly I detest any interaction with them. All I hear is BS lies about having a “team” and “culture” when in fact everyone operates in their silo and there is no road map or plan for anything. Can I move to another LL6 or team? My LL5 is great , I... — read more

What's the interest in unionizing?

Any thoughts on unionizing salaried employees at Ford? Seriously, after all of this, I really don't see a downside, so is there an interest, and if so, any good proposals on how to start the process?

GM salaried 3.5 %, wow!

Isn’t that just the normal annual raise? They said it was happening next spring. Seems like that is just normal for GM. Ford usually gets lower pay and raises than GM , ours is usually 2.7%. lol.
