Did layoffs happen or not? I haven't heard anything at work but that wouldn't be the first time considering the overall lack of communication and transparency at this place. In any case, I would really appreciate it if somebody could confirm if... — read more
Layoffs and pay cuts are happening!

Left and Never Looked Back
When R&D managers started to leave, that’s when I knew it was time for me to leave too. Luckily, I found a much better position down the street. For the first time in many years, I look forward to work again. Also, for the first time, I get to use my... — read more
The benefits of a great performance review
It used to be really important to me to have a great performance review. A lot of stress, a lot of effort went into it.. I did my best to make sure my performance review was as good as possible. But lately I’m thinking more and more about whether... — read more
Salary and Inflation
Anyone hear anything about our salaries and inflation? I feel like their options are A) just ignore it or B) give everyone raises to match inflation (or more likely a raise but not as much as inflation). But if they try to go the raises route they... — read more
Lack of support from managers
I’m not happy here because the lack of support from managers is huge. How much support do you get from your manager? I think most employees expect support, but don't get it. This leads to disengagement in the workplace. Why is that so? Why is their... — read more

HPE not in the top 50
HPE is not in the Linkedin top 50 best places to work. What a surprise.
Product quality

Any new updates ?
A lot of the comments are rather old are there any new updates on HPE regarding layoffs projections.
Get Ready to Jump
Talked to a former HPE coworker and friend last week. He said that he and a couple others recently jumped off the crazy train called HPE. He told me that there is no future for many at HPE so things must be getting desperate there. The board should... — read more

New Artwork in front of new HPE building
Has anybody driven past the new HPE building in Spring, TX? It looks like the building is almost finished and there is an impressive piece of art out front that looks vaguely similar to a giant 3-D model of a Covid-19 virus.
October layoffs follow-up
The last layoffs I can recall were in October. Does anybody know how are affected people doing? How many were able to find a new job by now and how many are still looking? I'd just like to know how hard is it really to land a new position these days... — read more
Fidelma Russo at HPE
What'd ya think? She was the person who was widely credited with destruction of the Symmetrix product line in the now defunct EMC.. Did she get kicked away from VMWare or she left on her own volition? I doubt it is the second..
Not many people plan to retire from HPE
The more people I talk to, the more I realize how few people see this as their long-term option. Nearly everybody is looking for a better opportunity, even people who are not that far from retirement. Only those who are just a couple of years away... — read more
Layoffs in January
Has there been any info on possible January layoffs?
Meg Whitman, from CEO to Kenyan Ambassador
Wanted to know what Meg Whitman is up to? Too bad. Well, Joe Biden nominated her as the Kenyan ambassador, like that will have a large impact. I guess she'll do anything to maintain a decent salary. If she's bad at corporate leadership, she must be... — read more
Damage control person
In past posts I have referred to someone I call the damage control person. It’s my theory that this person tries to shape public opinion on sites like this one as part of their job working for HPE. If this is the case, the ethical thing to do would... — read more
Small cuts
I wonder if and to what extent small cuts may already be happening here that we don't know about at all because they are not that big? I'm not saying anything, it would just be interesting to know what's going on under the radar.

Dec 8th - Get the jab or get out
Based on the memo, looks like we finally know where HPE stands. Don't want to lose any revenue from the Gov't so everyone (even teleworkers) must comply or will be placed on unpaid leave.
Was there any indication of impending layoffs?
