Talked somebody out of applying for a job

A friend's kid called me yesterday to ask about the company. He was going to apply for an opening and wanted some more info. And boy, did I provide it. He didn't expect to receive a fifteen minute rant, but he got it. By the time I was done, he gave... — read more

I'd gladly volunteer for a layoff

I'm done with this place. It's really a pity we're not given this option. i'm certain there are plenty of people who would jump at a chance to walk away with some pocket change. And it would help save the jobs of people who actually want to stay... — read more

More lay offs Feb 1st

Just learned about some more layoffs that are about to happen effective Feb 1st in the Finance dept. Any one heard anything?

77 new jobs posted in the last 2 days

The GA DOL and US DOL will be interested in what's happening at NCR. Its quite evident that NCR has taken advantage of the covid scare to clean house of high salaries.

Two more weeks

When some of my colleagues were laid off in August I decided to be proactive in looking for other employment. I found it appalling that this company would treat their employees so callously - and continues to do so! I am happy to say that my search... — read more

Hope the management and ceo of this company feel good laying off loyal hard workers while they do nothing and collect their year end bonuses. I worked for this company for years and was a top performer. Got my pink slip with 2 kids and a pregnant... — read more

Different frame of mind

I don’t know how many times I can stress this - NCR is not a company that will put their employees first. The last round of layoffs should have opened your eyes to this. I don’t want to go through this ever again but if I do and I am on that list to... — read more

NCR Layoffs 2021

Post any information about potential or actual NCR Layoffs 2021? Any news or rumors?

A vision we don’t fit into

On another thread here I saw this excuse for which the person got laid off - they simply didn't align with the vision of the company any more. What nonsense and empty words. I wonder what that even means? What kind of new vision is this that most of... — read more

People leaving voluntarily more than ever?

Just leave. NCR is a garbage company that treats its people and customers like sh–. I left a couple of months back (albeit on my own volition, I was not laid off) and could not be happier. No need to go through extra stress during these times, find a... — read more

Watching the meeting today the CFO Tim just said that they are going to cut everything out of the business that does not directly result in profit. All indirect costs are being cut. He mentioned transitioning into a "slimmer" business model that... — read more

Been there, done that, and here we go again

I know a lot of us are tired of waiting on layoffs. We’ve all been there, we hear about them, we start to get anxious, we start fearing for our jobs. We try to save as much as we can until the axe falls, and if we’re not impacted - we breathe a sigh... — read more

Don't expect layoffs to be done any time soon

You can consider them paused, but I think we're far from the point where we can once again enjoy having job security. Between now and the next year, chances are we'll be hearing about small layoffs here and there with another big round in January... — read more

Does this mean November 18 layoffs are off?

I don't want to minimize what happened to so many people yesterday, but I have to ask if this means that somebody got the date wrong and instead of November 18, these were the layoffs we were expecting? Or was this the first round and we can expect... — read more

Next Round Nov

The next round of layoffs planned for Nov 18. Exec's got to get their bonuses at EOY and it's the last chance to LAYOFF and not match 401ks. Company needs to drop exec dead wood at the top like their CIO for NCR to evolve.

How many would think twice?

Let’s be honest here. How many of you would think twice about joining this company if you knew then what you know now? This place doesn’t give a fig about any of its employees and had I known that before I decided to apply here I would have... — read more

Covid layoffs confirmed
