Does anybody know when the next round of layoffs will be? The media is reporting January 25? Is that date accurate?

CIO started approving FTE positions not too long ago to reduce contractors dependency but the tide has now turned with laying off FTE and adding contractors. Wish CIO focused more on saving skilled IT jobs stay focused on the new portfolio model and not going around and promoting herself, being guest speaker and trying to be be on the best CIO list.
Leadership needs to ensure the culture is about better accountability, doing your job well and not about kissing up to your bosses unfortunately this is really a common scenario at BSC IT.

The best thing I ever did was quit after being bullied, because I refused to get the Jab. i was a remote worker, so there was no need to get it.
I tried to warn my coworkers for several months that they needed to get out of this company and look for other worker. I am sorry that they are now losing their jobs, when we are in a recession, and finding another job is going to be difficult.

They require the jab to stay employed, including booster jabs, and then they lay off hundreds. WTH???

I was with Blue Shield of CA for over 10 years and the culture became toxic in IT since the re-org happened in 2016. No clear vision, frequent re-orgs in the name of new mission/vision, however the next year they do re-org again. In 2020 new CIO joined and came up with new operating model and again a massive re-org at the Dir & above level. The new operating model is kind of disaster and unnecessary spending and the funny part was that the ICs and Delivery leads are left to figure out how to operate and was searching in dark and hardly any directions from senior leadership.Employees started feeling frustrated with such changes and started loosing trust in our leadership. On top of that lots of favoritism. No longer a good company to work for especially in IT. Heard the business side is totally opposite. As I said, the IT leadership is not that competant and bring their own buddies internally and spoiled it further.

Reorg, reorg, two acquisitions gone bust, reorg, leadership revolving door, reorg, Medi-Cal expansion bust, reorg, lay off, reorg, big layoff. Can anyone say Sr. Leadership thrashing?

A company with no Vision, goals and direction. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to work here.

The upper management were big supporters of JB, most of the IT people I knew there were NOT. every time an IT employee left they would just pile his/her work on the remaining over worked employees

376 sounds right, mostly impacting call center and IT. Weird to me that IT was impacted when we’re already low on IT resources as is.
