Topics regarding layoffs at SAP

SAP is now fully focused on the Stock price

All I know is SAP is now fully focused on the Stock price. It's clear the Board is of the opinion that there are way too many people working for SAP and probably half of the 100,000 employees are in high cost locations. This they will bring an end... — read more

Stop complaining

This is just a shout out. I bi—ed at everyone and was told two years ago if I don’t like it to leave. I want to let everyone know that two years later, I am watching tv all day and no one calls me because of my phone expertise in Sap Hana.

I have never seen such a sh-t show

Hard to see this ending well. This board and leadership are completely incompetent. If anyone understood CK's email please summarise it. Embarrassing. 2025 will be the year of crash and burn.

I'm cautiously optimistic

SAP hasn’t been the same company for a while, but I’m seeing some positive changes. I think 2025 might bring us closer to where we were a few years ago, before layoffs and forced attrition became the norm. I could be wrong, but I’ve decided to stay... — read more

Consolidation is first and foremost about HC reduction

You all want to believe the combination won’t affect you — until it does. This is what happened when EMEA north and south combined and amazing leaders with 20 years’ experience were shown the door. Sadly, many of you in N.A. will lose your jobs and... — read more

E-CSP gone

All E-CSP roles are gone, who will do their work

And so it begins -- consolidating the Americas

Happy New Year! Guess I better get my resume in tip-top shape since the writing is now on the wall for all US and Canada folks! Consolidating the Americas into one region is very ambitious, since there is literally nothing that the US/Canada has in... — read more

5 days RTO mandate announced in January?

These are probably just rumors, but I wouldn't put it past them to announce the next RTO , now 5 days in the office, as a soft layoff, just like Amazon did. Has anyone heard anything else?

What a difference a year makes... or does it really??

Last January 24 SAP announced a 2 billion euro ($2.17 billion) restructuring program impacting 8,000 employees so it could focus on AI. We had 107,602 full-time employees at the end of December 2023 (according to SAP press info) . CK said that... — read more

Headcount information at SAP

Just so that everyone here knows, there is a tool SAP has created called Headcount Data Explorer (search for this in SAP One). This will allow you to see the breakdown of headcount by cost center, country, board area, etc. Looks like the Workers... — read more

"Next Level Transformation"

How to really get ahead at work

You should forget about hard work. Your boss will just pile on more work, often to cover for others who can’t be bothered. Trust me, I’ve lived it. Instead, focus on playing the office game. Flatter the right people and build connections if you’re... — read more

Ariba restructuring

I am hearing that Ariba will merge with other line of business....anyone else hearing same?

What are they doing with Ariba Services?

First a memo got "leaked" indicating an 80% reduction in Ariba services is planned. They spun that around in a few ways and we have been talking about this "cdet" program ever since. Latest rumors are they want to reduce services by 50-80% in Q1-2025... — read more

Muhammad Alam

Someone -- please explain to me how this guy got promoted to the board. I just watched the replay of the AMA with Alam and he can't even look at the camera or articulate anything in a concise way.

How is your job search going?

I’ve been working on it for a couple of months now. Not diligently, just as a precaution. Layoffs are always on the horizon, so I wanted to see for myself how the job market looks like. Results have been discouraging. Most offers I got were subpar... — read more

Manager being a di-k about RTO

E-mail comes out last week to all of NA saying layoffs over the next two days. Then crickets. Layoffs at Concur have been reported here. Anyone know how many? Any other teams outside Concur?
