You know Tipsord is watching with his mouth watering. If Geico employees accept it and stay, you better bet that we will follow suit.
GEICO, Farmers and American Family all announce significant layoffs.
GEICO announced today they are laying off 2000 associates or 11% of its workforce. This follows Farmers announcement in August that they are laying off 2400 employees or 11% of its workforce. American Family has announced “significant layoffs coming”... — read more
Can I Be Forced To Train New To Role Claim Reps?

Unionize!!!
Do you see what is happening all around you? Auto workers, healthcare, workers, actors and writers… I bet they are not negotiating for a 3.5% merit! I spent 30 years there and regret doing so. I was in leadership, and barely got an acknowledgment... — read more

Leadership Change
Is it time for a leadership change? Does anyone feel like the company can survive with all the bad decisions, poor treatment of core workers, massive financial losses and being summarily dowgraded by A M Best? Just curious folks thoughts.
Is SF doing away with all IAs as of 11/01/2023?
I've been hearing rumblings about the IA thing in general, but I recently saw a social media post that specifically states that ALL IAs will be done away with as of 11/01. Just wondering if that's true.
SF credit outlook downgraded
Just read where AM Best has downgraded SF credit outlook from stable to negative, citing significant underwriting losses, natural catastrophes, and the inability to secure some rate increases from insurance regulators.
Curious the real reason for rebadge
Hearing two answers on hcl rebadge. One is SF had many analysts nearing retirement, and they would be hard pressed to replace them. The other side is saying it was to cut cost. Which is it? Wish there was some transparency and truth.
Information Security being outsourced next?
I heard it’s to a company other than HCL.
TAYLOR SWIFT MAKES $4 MIL A YEAR..MT GETS $24 MIL BONUS!
So in addition to his BIG salary....MT has received a second year of a $24 MILLION bonus. My opinion, Taylor works much harder and makes more people smile and feel "remarkable". Hope the Board considers Taylor for the next CEO when MT leaves soon!... — read more

Our communication department is a joke. Led by an AVP who talks about everyone, is a role model for passive-aggressive behavior, and has effectively run five high-performing leaders, strategists, and employees out of the area. The directors are all... — read more
Who here has left the farm and is much happier on the other side?
I left the farm after almost 20 years, and although I was afraid to leave at first, it was the best decision I ever made! I make 25,000 more a year, I’m treated like an adult at my new company and I don’t have to explain myself to anyone. Although I... — read more
Eliminating company cars
We were told that the company needs to eliminate expenses so they eliminated a significant number of company cars in proximity. If you need to go out to the field, you now have to rent a car. Not really cost effective. Many of the cars are 7-10 yrs... — read more

Hubs need to reopen full time
Man what a waste of money the company is spending on empty office space. Maybe then work productivity would improved and micromanaged better.
How many rebadged people have already left?
Just curious how many rebadged analysts have already left. Execs did not account for third level work, and it is a shitshow. I know they are trying to polish the turds as fast as possible How many just said “nope” and quit/went somewhere else?

Radical changes are needed in my opinion. Can anything be fixed here without radical changes? I doubt it. It is difficult to understand why the leadership thinks so little about the future of State Farm.

What even is this role? Why am I helping a new staffer understand what a named peril is? I thought I was an underwriter not a baby sitter. They didn’t mention this in training. Is production a better fit if I came from a high networth team?
