Exec Call Yesterday

So for all the employees that did not get to see our inspirational CEO yesterday, here is the cliff notes! We've had the best year ever! MT went around the room and asked each function SVP to confirm it was their best year ever. MT.. "Some people... — read more

Another one

This is how it is behind the scenes. The rating system sucks since they are not transparent on the ratings we receive. They use a faulty criteria to give employees numbers with little explanation instead relying on a generic context. Then when you... — read more

Pure destruction

It’s really sad how SF has downgraded so quickly. It takes a real “talent” to turn a company that was once great and a dream job for many, into a company that employees are literally running away from, and no one talented and capable even thinks... — read more

What happened at Cityline

There was an internal memo received about an incident that happened in Cityline but no details were going to be shared on Monday. It had talking points for employees and for third parties, like the press. No idea what happened

Can't SF afford decent raises?

I mean decent raises that keep up with inflation. I’m pretty sure SF can afford it, but the leadership obviously thinks that most of us are happy with just having a job, right? What a mistake!

The bonus is a joke!

Ohhh thank you ohhh Savior Lord Tipsy for the $1500 bonus if we just don't quit! You are such a great and wonderful leader that inspires me to go to work everyday! We are sooo lucky to have you since you are such a visionary leader! The hubs were... — read more

Kick in the a@@ for employees

SF has 20,000 rooms booked in Vegas for a birthday party in June. We have 19200 agents So I guess they are invited plus 800 of our leaders. Remeber this guys. You little people keep up with the metrics dont fall short. Keep up the OT. We need 20... — read more

WE GET ANOTHER BONUS!

I just found out the company branded givaways was only a small part of what we’re getting this year. I heard it on good authority that everyone will be receiving an additional monetary bonus this year! $$$ The group in charge of handling this is... — read more

Fixing the external hires mistakes

Most of us realize that having externals is not really cheaper. However, decision makers need to understand that as well. I absolutely agree with someone who said that internal employees' day consists of fixing the external hires' mistakes instead of... — read more

Claims- what is your OT claim load ?

Ok claims team, what part of claims do you belong to ? What is your required amount of OT? I am in injury, and our CAs have 5 hours a week of OT, required for the next 2 months to help Express.

Claims employees question your leadership

I was talking to an independent firm manager the other day and they told me what their reps were making and how much the firm they work for gets. I saw a report that said we have about 6500+ independents spread across Fire and Auto Claims. Roughly... — read more

Future of Claims at State Farm

I have two interviews scheduled for next week. I hope to get lucky this time and leave this company forever. I know that all companies squeeze people, more or less, but I still want to try somewhere else. Doing more with less is unsustainable. I... — read more

100 Year Anniversary Employee Appreciation

I bet our leadership is planning to give us something extra special to show their appreciation for all the hard work we’ve done over the years. I wonder what we’ll get. Any guesses? It’s hard to compete with a coaster. Maybe we’ll get a pen! Maybe... — read more

Dear Mike,

I would be very interested to know, if you were in an accident and I was handling your claim, how many other claims would you be comfortable with me juggling at the same time? 100? 200? 300? All my best.

Training new employees

Judging by the experiences of my colleagues who had to train new people, I would not want to train anyone here. No way. Training new hires means getting squeezed to the maximum, or at least that's the impression I got?

Decline Overtime

Obviously most forced overtime is in claims. It’s been ongoing since August. What happens if we decline? Will they terminate and short staff further? I’ve really debated just flat out saying no lately.

Express is now taking Injury OT

So today in huddle, we discuss that Express is so in trouble they need injury help for the next 2 months. So not only do have have injury OT, we need CSs to do Express tasks. No talk about how SF is going to make the job experience better or raise... — read more

Another video from exec

Well there’s another mindless and tone deaf video from Wensley. I bet people want to drop their pens and quit every time they post a sunshine and unicorn video like that. It just proves they don’t give a sh-t about you or the customers. — read more

Stop "bringing problems"!

Rule number one, which I learned the hard way: it is absolutely not allowed to talk about existing problems here. I have done it only once and I was labeled as the one who is "bringing problems" by my manager. They don’t want to hear or know about... — read more

Are they testing our limits or what?

Is there really nothing this company can do to keep its employees? I don't think that's true and SF can certainly offer better conditions, but it doesn't want to. I think SF is very wrong to test the tolerance limits of its employees. It's a mistake... — read more

New employees

I expected more from several new people that SF hired because we were terribly understaffed. It turned out that I hoped in vain that the situation would get easier with them working here. I wouldn’t want to belittle anyone, but those people really... — read more

Take care of yourself

There are so many issues for employees within SF. Make sure to take care of yourself, check your physical and mental health… do not delay treatment for a job. I did and I regret it.
