There's little difference
Name one carrier that treats its employees well. I'm betting you can't. They are all basically the same. They are top-heavy, don't have any long-term vision, offer little to no transparency, and most importantly, treat their employees like cr-p... — read more
Three years here are more than enough
I didn't think this was how I would feel only three years after starting here, but here I am. Tired and disillusioned about the "great" job I landed. I was really excited when I started but it took SF less than a year to ki-l all the excitement in... — read more
The price of "Yes man" culture at SF?
I don't know of a company that particularly values the critical thinking of its employees, but I don't know a company in this industry that values critical feedback less than State Farm does. The company has been cultivating a “yes man” culture for... — read more
What's better/ worse at GEICO?
Here I saw someone encouraging people to go to GEICO. My colleague got an offer there, but in the end he went to another company. The reason is that he didn't think it was much better there. On the other hand, I am convinced that this company values... — read more
How would you describe our current leadership?
In one short sentence?
Delta Variant
The Delta variant is taking over. Even vaccinated people r getting sick. Going into the office doesn’t make any medical sense when most employees can work from home. Last year proved that we can work remotely and meet the companies goals.
How many are waiting to quit?
Just curious on how many people are just working until they make everyone go back in the office 5 days a month? Already moved away? I have talked to several people who say they are just going to quit instead of going back to that mess/traffic?
Work/ life balance
Does it still exist here at all?
Are the offices back open?
I'm thinking of applying to state farm but just curious if the offices are open or is it work from home?
They're going to do what they want...................
SF leadership is going to do what they want regardless of input from their employees. If you believe that, keep reading. If you don't, ignore this post. The key to being successful at SF is not necessarily agreeing with what they do rather it is... — read more

Titanic
I am burned out and tired of the lack of staffing, unreasonable workloads & expectations, technology that doesn’t work and management through fear. This appears to be the Titanic with water rushing in on the lower decks. Good luck everyone.

Drastic career change
