Some people in ETF dept got let go. I believe they were new hires too.

If they are laying off engineers, the business must be a total **** show.
Several managers told us expect layoffs to keep going until the new head’s restructuring plan is completed. This could be days, weeks, or a few months. This is far from over. Head of ETF UIT was let go yesterday. Expect more asset servicing layoffs to happen in the next few days.
About 10 engineers were laid off in the Palo Alto innovation center today.
It’s not really done because it will pick back up on Dec 1-2, right?

After being told that the head of Structured funds was let go, we were told lot more layoffs to come this week and probably until all the restructuring is done.
Interesting that you think your manager knows...in my case, my manager (I was a supervisor) was let go shortly before I was let go. If you have an executive manager in your office, lookout!
Until your manager tells you it's done for now, it's not done.
