Literally the only change to hours is that if you are currently PT20 (guaranteed 20 or more hours per week) you will become PT on Jan 1st (and be guaranteed 4 or more hours per week, or maybe no guaranteed hours at all depending on your region’s policy).

Contrary to the massive and unending wave of misinformation all over the internet, there is not a maximum number of hours per week that PT TMs are allowed. Team Leadership avoids working TMs out-of-status when possible (30 or more hours in a week is out-of-status for PT), but PT TMs who want more than 29 hours per week will still be able to get them as long as there is labor to be used.

It was really great that our leadership brought us in on Monday for an Emergency TL meeting about something that's been in the news for nearly a week.

I’m the one feeling bad for Mr Jeffrey Bezos. Here you have one of the smartest humans to ever live getting duped out of 13 billion dollars for what amounts to a skid mark on the underpants of society. He deserves things to be great again too. Just food for thought.

And all of this is because Kronos, the god awful sh–show of a program no one likes, that makes scheduling take way longer than before cannot write a competent schedule without every TM having full open availability. SMH. Good luck hiring only people who have zero family, hobbies, school, lives outside of whole foods. How about instead we hire people who don't suuuuuuuuuck!

not true.
PT20 status is gone to eliminate the insurance option. PT status hourly wage is now 1-29.99 hours weekly, all depending on business needs. FT is still FT, but you must provide 100% open availability, else you risk losing hours. It all has to do with the needs of the business. So, if you are now PT because of the change, congratulations- you can now work up to 29 hours. However, if you are FT with limited availability or a set schedule (can only work mornings, no weekends, etc) get ready to lose hours unless you open up your availability.

January 1st 2020. Depending on availability and "worthiness" you could see an increase to full time or a decrase in hours since the PT 20 is not guaranteed anymore.

So if OP was full of sh!t about the hours being cut, what about the status change? That actually coming in 2020?

There just taking away the part time status, leaving TM's available to work up to 29.99 hours per week. If you have restrictions that will cause less hours.

PT20 status is eliminated. Part timers will get more hours, even up to full time. Most Tms at this status get healthcare elsewhere because it's $120 per check. That does not mean that tms who are part time that are not productive will be given more hours. So if you are a competent part timer who wants more hours this will be a good thing. It will push out people with poor availability, especially if they are already no productive tms.

Ppl need to get their facts straight before opening their mouth. PT’s who work less than 20 hours will be bumped to FT or close to 30 Hours. The new model is FT or PT.

I'm a TM who usually works 25-28 hours per week. I don't use the WFM insurance benefit. Does this mean I'll be cut back to 20 hours per week?

If it's true it means the PT20 status is essentially eliminated. These employees can work a max of under 30hours. PT status has a cap under 20 hours.

So starting next year all TMs accustomed to working 20+ hours a week will lose that income.

Can someone clarify what this means?

Wow. Why would they axe the PT health insurance if they're doing this? Would make the most business sense to work TMs as much as possible without offering any benefits.
