Is this the green new deal? How the hell is this going to work? All the shiftys are already joking how this is b.s. and they will just make an announcement for everyone to throw out their trash before they lock and "inspect" everything. This is one of the more hair-brained ideas I have heard of.

We just keep the door slightly open. Especially at night. No one has time for that!

Whole Foods creates crybabies. If you cry and whine loud enough you will get all the attention. They will ask , what will make you happy and move people or whatever the obstacle out of the way to make just one whiner happy. Happens all the time. All it does is create other miserable tms and more whiners .
Yes they check your trash.
We been throwing everything in the trash for months since the cleaning lady kept putting trash in the recycle the city started to fine us. Now those recycle and compost are locked and it all just goes in the dumpster.

This has nothing to do with the "green new deal" but rather that wfm pays $2k plus for each rejected load of compost. Is locking everything stupid? Of course it is. Is it dumb that it takes a financial penalty for messing up to motivate wfm to try and do better? Absolutely. Is doing a sh–ty job composting compost also stupid? It's insanely stupid, especially at a company like whole foods. Teach your peers how to compost and recycle properly and this goes away, but at the same time just compost and recycle properly because it's the right thing to do.
