Any word on layoffs in retail mutual funds?

It would make sense to move the location or eliminate the division. Unfortunately a lot of people will get laid off.
I’ve overheard conversations where they are looking for locations to move groups from Uniondale to NYC. If you’re not getting laid off, you’re cushy 10 minute commute is history
It’s possible. They would like to outsource, automate, or eliminate those jobs if the opportunity is right for that. My understanding is that BNY Mellon leases the space at Uniondale, and that a lot of people who work there are really folks who are based at 240 Greenwich, but are using the Uniondale location to work remotely because they live on Long Island. Retail mutual fund positions out there are probably not secure.
