Lei is correct. 2 weeks pay for each year of service. In NY you can collect unemployment at the same time. Once you find a new job the sub pay stops.

It's not a severance deal. It's called SUB: Supplemental Unemployment Benefits. You may be able to find it under that under the HR site. Very basic: 2 weeks of pay for every year of service. Minor tweaks under different circumstances. However, if you find work while collecting SUB, it is at risk of being stopped. I forget how long ago BNY MELLON stopped the severance. It used to be a lump sum. They did find a reason to end it, though. Maybe back in 2000.
