With all the talk about bonuses, I'm starting to get a bit optimistic about the situation. Should we assume that we're done with cuts for now? I know there'll be more sometime down the line, but maybe not in the following few months? Or is it naive of me to think that?

In Ireland management team, I think you are referring to big bird.
Look at Ireland... the management are a laughing stock in the industry. Many will not move as they would not cut the mark else where and the policy to promote 30% club (as a female I find it insulting) but it's being pushed by female leadership in Ireland. Pretty dam s-xist and discriminatory. As a female I want to know I got a job on merit as opposed to s-xual orientation. Wake up Ireland.
The name of the bank should be changed to “Bank of New Pune”
So true. I’m sure there are some good leaders in the company..right? Somewhere? My manager was not, but some people have a good leader, I hope.
The ones that should be on the list are not. They are usually the ones creating the list. They need to eliminate poor managers... but it doesn't seem like they care. So many good employees have been let go over the years... clearly BNYM values... cheap soldiers and weak managers
you answered your own question ...
They did layoffs a week ago. I think they're doing them monthly.
Anyone still works here don’t have extensive tech skills, otherwise why are they there BUT the opposite is true and due to limited or no skill, they become YES people and getting political favor.
Next round will be in April.
If your job is done on a screen and is repetitive then someone will do it cheaper in India or Indiana assuming software doesn’t replace it completely
I’m sure there will be cuts in the 2nd quarter. Probably not as many as quarter 1, but as more of the work load transfers to Pune, positions elsewhere will be eliminated.
You must go on the premise that today could be your last shift, unless you have political favor or have extensive tech skills or are willing to work 126 hours a week as exempt.
thanks for the laugh
Very naive.
