Laid of from BNY in January. They still haven't given us a plan to get out personal belongings from the building.

Obviously the answer is to ask people on the interweb. Don't bother to reach out to Dean or Josh who gave us their contact information for any questions about our firing, errr I mean downsizing.
They told us they would schedule times with security for us to go in and get our personal items.
Quite sure that all property left in the office is a total loss for displaced, retired and currently active employees. It would be surprising to obtain any possessions at all after the last 15 months.
Correct... was asked months ago if I had belongings that I wanted... after answering that on the portal there has been zero communication.
As of a couple months ago, the plan was to schedule times for people to come in on the weekends to pick up their things. (My understanding is that everything on the desks was packed up early in the pandemic.)
But there were still thousands of people who left in 2020 who hadn’t been able to pick up their stuff. So they are way backed up.
That's because you don't get your personal belongings from the building. You are not allowed back into the building because you don't work there anymore. All your personal belongings get shipped to you via FedEx or UPS.
