How about that HR Process

Never seen anything so slow or non–communicative.

@2ysj+1ayjILmq Yes, that happens sometimes during re-org. Projects move from one department to another and in order for them to move headcount and related expenses (salaries, taxes, capital expenditures...etc) they have to open a req in one department and do it that way, fill it up by somebody already in the pipeline.

@1ksp+1ayjILmq HR told me that they closed the req because of a re-org. No one got the role. And yes, the hiring manager should've responded to my emails. I was very disappointed. I didn't expect to be treated that way from within my company. Networking is the best way to land a role internally.

Funny, I haven't heard that IT error code ID–10t in a while....

@e–l, you didn't mention if somebody got the job or they closed the req without filling it. Some managers will open reqs to hire people and eventually give them up, or close them, instead of losing headcount. It is a shell game, usually played around budgeting time, in case they are asked to reduce expenses and lay ppl. off they will give up those open reqs. It seems it's the hiring manager who dropped the ball, she/he should have let you or HR know how things are going or at least reply to your email, as a common courtesy. HR will only follow the hiring manager's instrux. and the system is designed to kick out those 'thank you for your interest' emails if prompted. As a rule of thumb, if you don't hear from HR in about three weeks after they finished interviewing everybody, you didn't get the job.

Yep. non–communicative is what I experienced. I was literally ghosted by HR until I called them out on it. I interviewed for a position and didn't hear anything for two months. I sent follow–up emails, to the hiring manager and cc'd HR. still heard nothing. two months went by and I sent HR an email saying that they ghosted me because i haven't heard back at all, and the job posting was still open. They finally replied and apologized saying that it was an oversight, and the system should've emailed me to let me know the job was closed. i checked a few days later and the job was finally closed. if you want to get a job internally, you have to network for it.
