It has been a little over a years since I've been shown the door. Prior to that, I've spent most of my time waiting for the ax to fall. Things are not perfect for me now, but it's better than it was there. Have things changed at all? How is it working there now? I hope things have improved.. .

@MeWe, don't forget all the change freezes and "heightened awareness" and the CAB daring you to try to get an RFC approved.
I was canned in jan of 21 so I'm not sure how it's been recently but 2020 was quite the fustercluck. For IT, 2020 started like 2019 with a bunch of additional unexpected work due to commitments to the regulators. Then covid hit and management made stupid blanket decisions to cancel all implementations at the last minute each week for about a month. This created a whole lot of extra work and actually increased risk when we had to juggle and merge changes to fit into the new timeline of the day. So we spent the summer of 2020 working our implementations through the bottle neck our genius leaders created by slamming on the brakes for a squirrel running across the highway.
