Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Don’t get angry!

“The right place values you the right way,” If you are not valued, do not be angry, it means you are in the wrong place. Those who know your value are those who appreciate you......Never stay in a place where no one sees your value.

This Bank does not value my work anyway, so let me just do bare minimum and complete the task assigned for that day . Why worry because this organisation is making it easier for you. Why take additional responsibilities when you know at the end of the day this company does not want my contribution to be counted as an overall achievement . It's a cycle that repeats you scratch my back, I scratch yours ,we both grow together . It is not happening as there is no give and take away and my heart will choose to say blessed be the name .

What is wrong with you? Are you having a mental melt down on your employees? Remember you are still a donkey chasing the paycheck in front of you grinding the mill. Go back and scream at your employees and see what happens? I am enjoying the show. Screaming here is a coward manager can do, pathetic......

"Just go into work and do the job that is expected of you! Do you want a high five anytime you do something, get over your self. If you are not happy - LEAVE!"

I am very happy with my arrangement with bnym. I negotiated my salary for a set of hours. I never agreed to slave for bnym and I don't plan on doing it going forward. Honest work for honest pay. If I become unhappy I would be gone in no time. Let anyone else do the needful

I did not mean political correctness that plaqued the corporate America which Google is also part of. I meant a culture of innovation and good spirit that still exists there vs a toxic environment at bnym. How much easier would that be for a googler to change a job vs bnym employee? I was merely stating the fact that I am at bnym to do my job for certain number of hours per month. I would never let a 'job' interfere with my life. once management understands that they develop respect for you too.

You mean the Google culture where they fire you for stating the obvious fact that boys are different than girls? BK already has that "culture" x 100. If you don't believe me, try telling Todd that the wage gap is a myth or that blue lives matter. But make sure you get your personal belongings from the office first.

From @1pbv.if i wanted google culture I would have tried tjoin googles. I am here for the paycheck. Short of 8 maybe 9 hours, my whole self stays home with my family and my priorities unless I am working on something that's interesting to me. Otherwise good luck making me work more than 1 weekend a month, I have things to do outside of work.

The problem with the company is that the managers are subjective and because of this you can not bring your whole self to work. Making a innovation center look like a google office doesn’t mean BNY develop a culture like google did. So you know why company grows or sinks!

the management is just as tool in my eyes. a tool to a comfortable retiring. if tools don't work i can change them just as easy. be marketable and control your destiny, don't allow some tools to control yours.

All I know is that the managements care about money, they don't care about me. I am just a tool in their eyes.
