Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

I used to feel helpless

For over a year I would stress over things I had no control over and it would upset me to no end. Then I realized that I DO have control over something - my own career. I started working on my resume and I began applying to businesses that I found interest in or companies that were looking for my skillsets. I may get laid off before then, but I’ve been working on padding my savings just for that reason. I now feel like I have a hand in my future and that I am better equipped to handle a layoff if I’m cut. That alone has relieved so much stress for me.

Good on you. Don’t listen to the looser who posted a comment first. Best wishes for a great job and career. Don’t be a victim.

I think a daily dose of k-y would help us cope more than xanax or zoloft.

Yes, I heard xanax and zoloft can help BNYM employees cope.

Take some medication, not sure why you would post something like this on this website.
