My husband was given a promotion that included relocating away from my hub. If remote work was here to stay that wouldn't be an issue, but sadly, it's not. We could get a place that is 90 minutes away from my office, but I’m on the fence about driving those hours or just finding something that would be closer to our new home. Am I crazy for even considering driving those hours?

BNY Mellon is asking their east syr employees to do this and forcing them to travel to oriskany.
You’re crazy. Get out of BNY Mellon
- 5 hour one way, 3 hours round trip daily for an office job. You don't want to waste your life in the car 3 hours a day before and after work. BNY salary can only go so far in happiness. Find a new job closer to home.
Back in the cube farm pre-COVID days I knew a guy who lived in Connecticut and commuted to the NYC office four days a week. He had be admitted to the hospital for basically having a mental breakdown/exhaustion. He had a family too, was 40 years old but looked like he was in his 60s. Poor guy. Hopefully he left BNY or he hopefully stays working at home.
Yes... 3 hours in a car for any job.
No.

Yes, you're crazy.
Most states allow you to collect unemployment for relocating for your spouses job.
This is a toxic group to pose that question to. Before deciding on whether or not to jump ship you could look into applying for a Remote Working Arrangment. It may or may not be possible but at least you’ll know and that can help your decision.
Yes
Find something closer to home. BNY has no loyalty to you and neither should you have towards them.
Personally, I wouldn't drive 3 hours a day for any job. Not even for a million dollars...
