MS Teams rollout

This has been handled so poorly.
Our company rolls out features to some users, but not other users. Why not enable everyone for all the features?! Right now it's nothing more than a chat or meeting tool. I'm so tired of hearing "it's on the roadmap". Teams has been around for many years, just push out the features to all employees already. BNYs way is so painful.

Exactly, @7xxb. No wonder they want people back in the office when our online collaboration tools are in such disarray.

lol..yes another chat tool. More redundancy As I type this, I have the following chat programs open on my BNY laptop: Skype, Symphony, WebEx, and Teams. And yes, somehow I have active chats going in each. For WebEx its a chat in during a meeting going on right now..yay. No wonder Excel barely functions on my system. Make the pain go away..

VEDA simply does not work.

Don't even get me started on VEDA...and them shutting down the chat option for technology help that actually worked.
Oh I could enter a self service ticket but that sits in a work basket that appears to be monitored only once a month.
As for calling the help desk, I cringe at the mere thought of potential rabbit holes I will be plunged into.

I’m still on Windows XP and using Lotus Notes.

Remember when the bank was bragging how great that was going to be and really help streamline our day?

Ahahahaha.

As long the evil management and psycho managers are in control of everything nothing is gonna happen for the Employees .The tech is going to suffer and even the market is gonna crash. This happened few years ago when the head of ops who could not assign laptops to the whole team when it was due . He kept pressing on using desktop and assigned laptops to only his favorites. He was incharge of the department and controlled who should be getting laptops giving approval. Eventually the company got rid of him because he made some blunder and then few years down the line Corona 19 happens and nature controlled everything assigning laptops to the whole company.

This has been going on for over a decade. These people are given deadlines to implement rollouts and they claim it’s been accomplished when everyone knows it has not been done properly. I retired three years ago (Thank God) and was dealing with these issues time and time again. When you continue to point this out you get labeled a troublemaker when all you are trying to do is what’s best for fellow employees and Clients. They just give you lip service and say suck it up. It’s amazing how much of the employees time is wasted trying to do these workarounds. I can’t believe that this Bank can be a standalone entity for that much longer. Then again, who in their right mind would want to buy this place.
