Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

TS corruption and hypocrisy

Why are TS managers bringing back their retiree friends, putting them on payroll, allowing them to be based full time from home (which isn't even afforded to current employees), and not requiring them to do actual work or be subject to performance reviews?? Just pull up the TS distribution list and you'll see the retirees I'm talking about.

Would love that sweet deal. Time to stop working hard and kiss up to managers.

Also management pushing return to office, but they themselves are only planning on coming in when is convenient, likely 1 day a month or every other month.

On point!
Productivity has increased while being fully remote. This is an instance where management elects to ignore factual data in favor of having control and a warm and fuzzy in their belly. They even state survey comments back up employees sentiment of wanting to remain fully remote. Telling employees we are adopting the same old tired arrangement of 1 or 2 flex days that have been around for decades is not flexibility. You can't spin this management! You will see decreases in productivity and client satisfaction due to employee burnout after a few months of being back in the office.

The entire point of being in office per management is for in person collaboration. Based on that, I will not do anything during my 3 to 4 days in the office except face to face collaboration in a conference room. Let's see what happens to TS productivity.
