Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Put more energy into looking for a new job or improving performance?

Ever since I saw how easily they got rid of my colleague - and very unfairly - I immediately started looking for a new job. Honestly, I always thought he was a better employee than I was. Worrying ahead of time whether BoA will get rid of me so easily is superfluous, but in any case I spend more time looking for a new job than trying to be more productive and having better performance.

If you are in a back office job and even more so if you are age 50+, then it's only a matter of time before the Bank is moving to get rid of you. The outsourcing, automation, and age discrimination is all the proof I need to start looking at another industry over the next 5 years.
