Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Dec 15th RTO in CLT

This is for anyone in CLT who received a 12/15 RTO date...

If you return to the office on 12/15, let's walk out together at 10AM in protest of this ill advised scheme to force employees to return to full capacity offices during the holidays and without any coherent mitigation measures.

Took me a while to find this, but I’m curious,, did this happen?? Or, was it just all for show?

Exactly, me too. The Bank continues to hint at "flexibility" but they won't say or acknowledge a formal hybrid approach. Other banks are committing to a long-term hybrid approach, I know Wells Fargo in Charlotte delayed their RTO until Jan and already announced a 3 days/week in office hybrid approach when they do return.

Why is BofA insisting on "bringing everyone back" before they are willing to formally propose a hybrid work arrangement? Makes no sense especially since one of the benefits of hybrid is limiting office capacity by rotating different teams in and out on separate schedules. BofA does not seem concerned about a full office over the winter while Covid and seasonal flu will likely rage. It just doesn't seem rooted in the most cautious and sensitive approach to ensuring we don't have breakthrough infections. Unfortunately, it's probably going to take a cluster of breakthrough cases in an office somewhere to initiate a hybrid work arrangement.

@3yin+1dT2YzJ4 As long as that arrangement with your manager holds up. I’d prefer a more official hybrid option that wont be undone at a moments notice.

My boss is letting me work from home. Just need to come to the office 2 times a week. It’s not as bad as they make it seem like. I live in SoCal and I don’t see many people back in the office. Just work with your manager

If it wasn’t such an I’ll-advised plan, I’d think that it was a plant by BAC to identify who is reading this board and blindly following hyperbole.

@2toj+1dT2YzJ4 seems triggered. Going on random websites and tearing a-s over what somebody else is concerned about is pretty funny. Find companionship.

@1vwo+1dT2YzJ4 If you work in uptown Charlotte, I’d like to meet you in person sometime. I bet you are not as tough as you act on here. I think you are the same troll that posts all over this site.
