Looks like BE gave thousands. The $208 appears to be per pay period.

Googled it. BE gave a whopping $280 last November. She makes a bazillion dollars, and that's her contribution? This is why I hit "delete" every time I get that email.

As suggested below, you can google Bny Mellon PAC and see a list of donors. Did not see any of our Executives listed there…..I kid you not. Did see some higher level folks and several from Legal, but no exco members.

They actually want help from the peasants so they can buy bigger mansions? Really, enough is enough.

I have very junior employees of mine who donate. And I wonder why? What are they hoping to gain? Don't they have better uses for the money?

Used to give my “Fair Share” to the annual United Way, later changed to a completely obscure BNYM charity with no transparency and nothing whatsoever beyond “trust us we know how to spend your money”. Not any more… I’m slow but I get there and do have a long memory.

Sometimes I feel like donating 1 cent just to make them process it, but I resist.

That’s right, wage slaves. If you donate 1000 to our (((causes)))), we will let you keep an extra week of health insurance when we fire you next month.

I would have to assume there is a public report available somewhere that has figures.

In our group we have an annual laugh when this email comes through

Never even considered it. But I even stopped my united way donations a few years ago when I got a 1% raise and zero bone us.

Yes, I did for many years until they joined in to lobbying for widened H1B Visa laws.

Of course they try to get us to pony up because whatever the lobby for will just get them better bonuses and they want us to pay for it. As if they aren't already getting their wallets padded off our backs....

Something you should know: they have always struggled to get even their senior leaders to donate. The real fat cats cough it up because, as with any big company, it comes with the territory. And they all benefit when politicians put pressure on regulators to go easy on companies like BNYM.

But I’ve always found it audacious that they ask regular folks to pony up, as mere mortals don’t share in the benefits in a meaningful way.

I don't know anyone that even opens those emails after seeing the subject line.

I’ve always wondered too. Every time I get that email I find it so odd that they actually said their employees mass emails looking for donations for that. Seems a bit ridiculous to me, but I’m not one to donate to political parties in the first place
