Ireland Shortages

The shortage of employees in Ireland is devastating at the moment. Nothing is being done to resolve the issue. This leads us to think one of the offices could be closed in 2022. Dublin will always be protected so Cork v Wexford? The lack of leadership in the latter may determine its destiny. Sit tight and strap in.

I will say the Irish bars here in NYC are fully staffed.

You are talking about Big Bird in the Dublin office.
She has long been a waste of space, more interested in promoting her personal pet projects...
The 30% Club, or the IMI.

Ireland is inept in marketing, presenting and selling custody products. Dunlin, Cork and Wexford are all very different politically and socially but all three share a complete inability to market custody and close a deal.

This stands out as an excellent opportunity to see what India or Poland can bring to the table for marketing custody. There is no risk… it could not be worse.

Agree...Big clear out in Dublin senior management needed. No backbone. More interested in looking at themselves in mirror than doing work....or more worrying looking at others and what they are wearing.

Having joined BNY, the lack of leadership in Dublin is very evident. The majority of people are bemused by the people that "manage" the offices. Some of the more senior ones have very poor people skills. Clear out needed.

The real issue is that impossible for us to hire anyone to work in the CLO space in Ireland. All experienced possible staff within our competitors know the pain that comes with CLOs. The devil they know is better than the devil they don’t

my team is trying to expand and build strong presence in the UK in general but senior management makes it tough and isnt convinced it's a good strategic region. good talent comes from those countries.
