Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

The pay is not worth the treatment

When I first came here, it was common to colleagues hiding their tears. It was quite a shock to me at first but I never thought that such a thing would happen to me. Well, now I understand things better. I have a manager who recently put me in that situation. Even if I had higher pay I still wouldn't stay here after that episode.

Agree. I am a manager and my manager has made it VERY clear in his actions who his favorite are. I am NOT one of them. I have the most knowledge out of my peers and my manager and have been involved in many projects that my peers, manager and other workmates have no clue. I can guarantee he is tryin to get me to leave based on his continuous actions. But he does follow the banks protocol— arrogant, doesn’t know the job they were moved into, very clear who favorites are, D&I to make it look like the bank really is inclusive, does not like to be corrected or told something is incorrect.
Glad I’ve got plenty of popcorn.

Middle managers can treat direct reports like garbage. Not a favorite? You will be isolated and grossly mistreated, even if highly skilled, productive. Corporate culture has grown toxic, will eventually destroy the very fabric of the company long-term if real changes not made. HR couldn't care less.
