Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

The only people who are supporting RTO are those who don't like their families

It's not my fault that you don't like your wife or husband and that having a root canal is preferable to spending time with your kids. That's on you. I love my wife and I adore my kids and the extra time I got with them thanks to WFH improved my life immeasurably. Cheering for losing that is mind boggling to me.

Layoffs coming. Looks we’ll get all the time we need to love our spouses and children.

The joke about RTO is it applies to everybody....until it doesn't. It doesn't apply to the anti Vax crowd. It doesn't even apply to many work areas. Last rto there was our group and 3 other people on our floor that should have been full if RTO was for real. The floor was empty because I guess they were privileged enough for WFH. You can't make this stuff up.

So much for getting that $200 to report vaccination status.. those who didn’t report get to WFH and save FAR MORE on these astronomical gas prices.

@wsr+1fqpjswM - you don't get it. Most of the people who visit this site would LOVE a layoff, esp. from this place. Bring it.

I just want to see a post supporting RTO that doesn't use to any form of the word "whine" or that belittles those who prefer WFH. Based on the history of posts on this board, it is rare like a raise that is anywhere close to cost-of-living.

Have you seen WELLS’ board - all we do is whine about RTO!

YES! I’ve heard it straight from their mouth. I love being home with my family!

A lot of these people also miss their work “affairs” haha.

“We get more work done at home and the numbers show it”…..“why can’t we have a hybrid shift”…..ahem, “It’s not my fault you don’t like your wife or husband”; I’ll predict your future of WFH and it includes looking for a new job. Have fun with that!

Seriously this is comical. It’s not about your love of family, your commute savings or anyone promoting RTO because they don’t love their family. It’s about the bottom line. The numbers speak for themselves. The economy is hurting from hundreds of thousands of workers not supporting the economy by way of gas, restaurants, work clothes, etc. Example, hundreds of thousands of people not buying gas weekly because they are home would result in the gas station being unable to expand his/her business. Expansion typically comes from money circulating. News flash a bank makes money off lending money. If the gas station doesn’t see enough patrons for a need to expand, said gas station doesn’t borrow from the bank. If the bank makes money off lending and no one is borrowing then our jobs are at stake and money is not circulating in quite the same manner.

Seriously get over yourselves. It’s not about you, your family and what you want it’s about the bottom line. YOU ARE GOING BACK, ACCEPT IT AND MOVE ON! Every time I come to this site it’s a bunch of whiny BOA employees worrying about RTO and WFH. Look at all other major banks on here, Wells, Chase, Citi, Huntington and none of them whine on the site about their own selfishness. Go back to worrying about when the next layoff was happening like the days before COVID, because if you don’t go back that will be the end result ….Mass layoffs.

@OP+1fqpjswM I'm sorry that you are so terrified about going back to the office. Being a coward must be awful.

Wouldn't be too bothered going in 1 x a week during summer with 3 kids at home...RTO should be delayed until summer @ least...figure out how to hybrid first BAC...need to be smarter than this...leaders making tens of millions and can't figure it out..leadership is atrocious here

What’s also interesting is that the proponents for RTO get so up in arms over others preferring WFH. The level of anger from them is pretty comical. We should all just agree to disagree. Some love working at the office and I’d say the vast majority prefer WFH. That’s all there is to it.

Anytime I discuss people who want to RTO I usually reference how they don’t like their husband, dog, kids etc… guess I’m not the only one who notices that the same people I hear complain about their home life are the same ones that prefer being in the office.
