What happens to those who don't RTO

If you don't return to office March 1st, what will happen? I feel like they can't fire that many employees at once without repurcussions. Or will it be like reporting the vax status and nothing will happen?

My manager made me go in but it was pretty dead on my floor in Charlotte. When chatting with others their managers aren’t requiring them to go in 5 days a week. I have zero desire to be in office the full 5 days. Even people who are extroverted and love being in office still don’t want to be forced in everyday. Work life balance matters much more than ever before.

No show here for 3/1. My colleague went in only 3 people on the entire floor. She not going back too. Glad, I didn’t as it would be 4 people on the floor. +1 from me.

I've always been remote 15+ years (not MyWork), but HR sent me a seat assignment last week. Was told they'd start counting badge swipes today, so I went in (had to get a badge first).

I was one of THREE people on the ENTIRE floor. What a doofus am I!

Not going in anymore. Stand your ground. Am hearing same from colleagues all around the country. Floors are EMPYY! Even Boston!!

There is no hybrid plan being even considered. 5 days a week is BS. Only option is to make a change

Badge reports will be pulled starting March 1. The outcome, no one knows. Well, HR probably does but they are not saying.

I'm another one who will not be going back. There's many articles online written from many different companies, the office cubicle work life is over. Remote work is here to stay.

BM will personally come to your house and fire you in person

I know it doesn’t feel like it because we’re not
Unionized but we have all the power and there is strength in numbers. If all of us just say NO TO RTO then they can’t fire everyone. It’s simple. I will not be returning to the office and will be delighted to be fired if that’s what it comes down to. Also I really think we should all unionize. These 2% raises were a slap in the face quite frankly.

So my department in Charlotte we were told 5 days a week period. I have talked to other people they are going to be able to work from home indefinitely, then another group only has to go in Tuesday and Wednesday only, then even another person is Wednesday only. It is not fair when my group does not meeting with customers and half my team is across the country but sure we have to go back. WTH. We will not have meetings together still. So before some troll says it I know life is not fair. I like my job just wish it was fair. I feel like some groups treat people like adults but since others we are not. I just hope to not get Covid after making it this far, I hope no one else does either.

I'm not going back, already told my manager. Honestly they don't have an actual process for those who don't go back, just like they didn't have an actual process for those who didn't want to report their vax status. They didn't think anyone was going to say no. They are not going to fire associates that are still working regardless of where they work from, they would have to remove their access to wfh in order to prevent them from working, but they won't do that for a while if they ever do. I'm not going back, will keep you posted.

Ahhh... My-Work. I have always been remote, and I will always remain remote. Of course, sometimes it also helps to know things.

I’d assume it entirely depends on your manager for a little while. At some point, there will be reporting, and I assume some firm recommendations to go with it. Most companies aren’t big on surprise firings, since they usually come with strong retaliatory emotions, they’ll give you time to change your mind, up until they don’t.

Seems unlikely that anything will happen. Feels like America right now - do the wrong thing and get rewarded.

Meh. I'm not worried about it. I'm one of the precious few who actually get things done.
