Retention bonus or needed raise?

I've been into the office for a couple weeks now and I'm starting to get angry about it.. Anyone else out there feel they need a large one time retention bonus or or a large raise to continue to RTO? Good luck finding anyone to do our jobs for the $$$

Best way to make more money in the Bank is to move around within the company. I moved twice in the last two years and my total increase was about 35%.

I recently asked my manager for a raise in a professional and reasonable manner and was flat out told "no." Been here for years. This place is doing nothing to retain those of us who have worked through the chaos. I'm looking elsewhere.

I went back last year for the first time. I was on a floor with no one from my team. I remember feeling angry at first but then very depressed. I would come home and cry. I knew no one on the floor I was on. People were so loud you could barely hear yourself on the phone. The security guards would walk around and yell at you to put your mask on even if you were in your seat. I thought to myself this is what it must feel like being in prison.
The experience was so awful they couldn’t pay me to work in the office again. Already actively posting. Hopefully something comes soon so I can put in my two weeks.

I went in today for the first time and I counted maybe 5 people. I took all my personal belongings and went home. I am actively looking for a new job. No retention bonus or raise will convince me to work in office.

All they can do is fire you… that’s not good advice. If you’re fired, you can’t collect unemployment. Future employers won’t want to hire you. Getting fired usually means you did something bad.

Getting laid off, on the other hand, can be a good thing. You’ll likely get severance. You can collect unemployment. And employers are usually very sympathetic to people who lost their jobs through no fault of their own (usually just a reduction in force or elimination of a position).

Hope for a layoff but don’t hope to get fired. There is a difference.

Just don't go in, all they can do is fire you...which quite frankly will allow you to find a better job

Too little too late if they ever consider that. Highly doubt it. A lot of the great talent has left or considering leaving. I’ve given my notice and this is my last week. Got a gig permanently remote and a increase in compensation of ~25%.
