Thread regarding Broadridge Financial Solutions Inc. layoffs

Everything that is wrong at Broadridge

Yup they lay people of every year. Many long time employees and they love to target people over 50. They will mix in younger people so they don't get called out on it. The culture there is terrible. I know many people that work there and they all hate it. The President is a Sales guy so everything is about selling and there has been little investment in the actual servicing. They are also stuck in a deal with a large broker building a platform that turned out to be a huge loss for them. They are one regulation change away from losing most of their revenue. They also claim to innovate but its a joke. They acquire companies using the billions they get from their core business that basically runs itself and call it innovating.

I was laid off in March 2023 right after my wife passed away. I was with the company for 23 years. The reason I was told for the layoff is my job was going over to India as many of the jobs are going there for cheap labor. My department is floundering and I wouldn’t be surprised if they sell a business to a competitor because they lose money every year.

I got laid off in 2023 (worked in Newark) at 55 years old, and it was the best outcome I could hope for. In 11 years that I stayed at Broadridge my position turned into a dead end job -- zero innovation, zero challenge, zero hope for any change. I have a decent job now (at a competitor). So, no complaints.

this is a mom and pop mickey mouse company. Management should go through some serious training as their idea of managing is through fear. Zero flexibility and zero work life balance

Check the insider stock sales. It's a good indication of what's to come....

Broadridge just announced that Sales are down on their earnings call. Yet they have enough money to fly a thousand people to Orlando for an internal boondoggle - I mean "important corporate meeting." :)

See, layoffs lead to good things....for top management and few who aren't fired.

Add me to the list of 50+ layoffs. No rhyme or reason to the layoff. Their clients will feel the impact of these layoffs within certain product teams as the expert is now gone. Good luck keeping up with the frantic pace of supporting the clients needs without breaking something along the way.

Layoffs started (or should I say continued) today at Broadridge. Almost all impacted are over 50 years old. No surprise....it's happening more frequently at that company.

Hah, you ain't seen nothing yet.

I hear rumors from insiders about something bad happening soon. That's sufficiently vague that it could be straight from a horoscope :)

I don't know how they're still in business. Every fiscal year they lay off a bunch of people, put a hiring freeze in place, wait a bit, then raise the headcount again. It is as if they're trying to make their books look good, hiding the real situation from investors. Lots of talent and knowledge lost this way. But what do I know?
